should probably switch your steering wheel from the City Bus position too

edit: seriously though, i thought maybe you took your steeling wheel off and was resting it on the dash but when i look at it closer i have no idea what that is

Yeah it comes off and I sit it on the dash when I’m out of the car. IMG_1323.jpeg

I have a K-brace that is supposed to mount w/ rivnuts but I'm skeptical about how effective a rivnut-mounted brace can me. If I install it, I'll use bolts and a backing plate for a little added placebo effect.
That was my thinking as well (besides not wanting to drill any holes to exacerbate any corrosion, even if treated/painted).

If there is enough stress/flexion in that area to justify/warrant that brace, why would it not be enough to eventually 'work' the rivnut insert into rounding out the drilled hole??

I had a blue anodized, alloy OMP front strut tower brace on my old Mk2 GTI 16V which used rivnut inserts to install, but I will admit that was more for aesthetics, and 'rally cred' at that time than it was for expecting any actual performance/turn-in gains.

You do not remove the passenger seat for track days?

Ride-alongs, weight distribution?
I give a lot of ride alongs during corporate events. It’s coming out though because I sold the Recaros.

@Jabbit if the driver can’t physically lift his hands above his waste beware. πŸ˜‚

My money is on the color shift wrapped mid 00s wrx wagon with fart can exhaust and rattle canned wheels. If anyone it's going to be that car.

Does it have a 'Wagon Mafia' sticker on the rear quarter panel glass?

Just bought the middle and side hood louvers from Race Louvers. They are expensive but they seem like the only ones that are actually tested. Going to try them with the cowl on and cowl off, grill in and grill out, etc. Even if it buys me a few degrees then it's worth it. Plus race car.

Yeah that’s the right decision in my opinion. Not sure how they mount to the hood but I used 3M panel bond adhesive on mine and it worked great.

It comes with stainless rivets. I'll probably buy some black rivets so it blends a bit better.

Also it is shaping up like I might make some passes at the dragstrip immediately following my dyno tune session. I don't launch the car, I roll out with an easy 2.5 or so 60'. I'm more interested in trap speed. It will be a fairly accurate data point for trap speed, weight, and wheel horsepower.

Boost leak, only hitting a bit over 9psi on the base tune, should be closer to 14. My smoke tester died. If I can't fix it tonight then it's off to the mechanic. No time before the dyno.
