A question for Lathe Werks piston-style owners: does the height of the knob make reaching and lifting the reverse lockout more difficult?

Thanks!

The LW Piston was my favorite knob which I had installed on my FiST for a few years! I never had any issues with engaging reverse....

The reverse lockout is really easy to reach with the piston. The thumb depression helps a little.

I think boost said it earlier, the shift knob has kind of a rally feel to it!

^^^It still has to be a helluva lot easier than it is for those with the L-O-N-G extensions on their shifters. ;)
No way, it's so easy even with the long extension. I took the extension off for a week and it felt so weird reaching down to shift. The extension is back for good.

I was ONLY referring to the use of the reverse lockout, way down at the bottom of a long extension, NOT the forward gear shifting. ;)

I understand. It's actually very easy to put in reverse with an extension, is all I'm saying. Would be silly to try and keep your hand on the knob with an extension to go into reverse.

^^^Very nice, but that quilt-stitch boot is WICKED! [twothumb]
Thank you sir; it matches the stitching on my Ford racing Recaros too.

They make some killer parts with some of the best craftsmanship and detail I've ever seen.

I agree...I was a big fan of LatheWerks (I had two of their knobs on my FiST) until I recently discovered Raceseng!

Anarchy motive white pearl (to match my white platinum fiST) with custom engraving. Really heavy knob. Compliments the boomba full short throw racing kit perfectly.

Loving this thread! Has anyone installed the Mishimoto Pistol grip?
