Here is a link to 17x8 et45 Advanti Storm S1 wheels available in the 4x108 bolt pattern. They are flow-formed, 16.8lbs per wheel (verified by Goodwin Racing who carries the 4x100 version only). I have exchanged emails with this dealer and also verified through Advanti that they are legitimate.

Wheels ship from Advanti warehouse in California. At $206.75 per wheel, free shipping, and locking lugs included with each order, I couldn't help but post the link here! I'll be ordering these some time in the next few months, but figured I would spread the word so others can go ahead if they want.

I don't think I've seen these on a FiST yet. Let me know what you think! BTW I'll be putting them on my Ingot Silver FiST.

Thanks!! [twothumb]

Those might just be the lightest not fully forged <- (BIG $$$$$), 17x8s for our cars in existence!

Of course, the naysayers will still say that you are defeating the whole purpose of a lighter wheel by having to use larger, heavier tires to cover them, (and of course the whole "outward rotational weight of the larger tire" thing), but this is STILL less mass than the 'usual' 19 to 23 lb. 17x8 out there. [biggrin]

Ironically, when I spoke to Advanti directly, not two weeks ago, they denied these EVER even possibly being available in a 4 x 108 PCD, AT ALL. [dunno]

Well, I asked the Advanti guy about the 17x8 in particular, and that's the only size they have the wheel in 4x108. They may have thought you were looking for the 15" wheels, which are much more popular (Miata guys run them, 4x100 bolt pattern).

And to the naysayers, if they exist, I'll admit it's a compromise in performance for style and convenience of not having to redrill hubs/rotors. Still a good weight, though! [thumb]

The Rota Titans are also right about that weight, but some say a little bit heavier (I cannot get an EXACT weight on them!).

Who makes a light, metal alloy (NOT plastic!), hub-centric centering ring for these, as it seems so many of the 17x8s out there, in OUR PCD, are ONLY available with a 73 mm center bore??

I knew about this a month ago, but was keeping it to myself. Wanted to be the only guy rocking these wheels. Changed my mind though. Not worth the price to me for 1lb 2oz savings in weight over my current set up.

Dang great find:) Of course I would prefer 15 or 16" wheels but these are very good wheels at a very good price, flow formed really are nearly as strong as forged and far less money so those wanting to stay with 4x108, 17's, etc....nothing can beat these for the price and performance gain.

Wait for the 949Racing 17" wheels that FSWerks will be offering, they will probably be lighter.

949 is already available in 17x7,8, 9 in 4x100 so bringing out some in 4x108 should not be that hard to do and they will weigh a less I am sure, price could be a bit higher but still quite reasonable, for those needing wheels right now and some might like the style better the Storm is still a dang good wheel and price.

949 6UL is an excellent wheel, the 4x100 version weighs just 14.8lbs, the 4x108 should weigh the same if the offset is the same.
The Storm weighs 16lbs in +45 offset, still quite a low weight for 17x8.
Storm is just a bit less in cost but pretty close.
Both are flow formed and very strong, well made wheels, the Rota Titan might not be flow formed so I would not pick it if so.

----------------

I have bought numerous sets of billet aluminum hub centric rings on Ebay and maybe some on Amazon for around $20 a set and all have fit very snugly which is what you want in a hub ring.

Here is the link to the set I bought for the 6ul wheels, they were perfect.

I've had a chat with Advanti, I'm gonna try and work with a distributor to do a group buy on these if there is enough interest.

Just went to try and fit them with my BBK and no dice. But I think they might have sent the wrong offset. Gonna call on Monday to see if I can get them in +35.
