It's great to see a website that is dedicated to Fords hot little hatch backs, I bought my wife a Fiesta sedan with automatic trans. She loves it and so do I, my next car will either be a Fiesta or focus ST or a new Mustang. My right shoulder surgery went bad, left me half crippled in that shoulder. " might not be able to drive a stick any more?!?! I know there is a ton of potential left on the table with the Fiestas 1.6 liter four. I love engines and have built a couple that where pretty fast in my younger years. Now that I am 60 years young, but still love factory built performance cars, and plus having to weigh out the gas prices, verses gas mileage, verses how much performance I can afford to purchase with todays gas prices.

The Fiesta ST is my first choice by far, 0 to 60 in 6.4 seconds vs. Focus 5.9 0 to 60 times and 1/4th mile time for both are 14.9 at 94.6 mph. and Focus 14.6 at 96.8 mph. 2720 fiesta curb weight and 3183 Focus curb weight. My wife's Fiesta se sedan weighs 2623 and does 0 to 60 in 8.4 seconds. VS. Focus 8.32 0 to 60 times. 120 HP fiesta and 160 HP Focus, the actual HP for Fiesta ST is 207.24 at the front wheels if you figure 172.7 reading on the dyno and add 20% drive train loss, and +30 HP from a "Bama tune, computer flash" and a better air filter "K&N" and 93 octane gas with 20% drive train loss would add up to 237.24 HP at the front wheels. 11.46 pounds per HP Fiesta ST. The v-6 Mustang with 305 HP has 11.47 pounds per HP. and runs a 5.8 x 14.97 with 6 speed automatic and performance package at the strip. The Fiesta would be slightly better both bottom and top end. The Mustang with the stick shift and performance package would be 5.1 x 13.7 et. the standard v-6 stick, would be (5.6 and 14.8) automatic auto trans is 6.1 x 14.98 respectively.

2014 Fiesta ST.

Welcome, Arless. Looks like you have done your homework on your next Ford purchase. Happy to see the Fiesta ST in the running.
I called up the local Ford dealer here in town, they had one Fiesta ST. available to test drive, so I hot footed it down there and got the keys from the same salesman that sold my wife her SE sedan a month ago. Anyway I went out there and sat in the car for a moment, see if I might be able to still shift gears, to my pleasant surprise I was able to do so with not much trouble. I was allowed to test it by myself with no salesman on board. When I jumped out of the dealer parking lot I found the first side street I could find. I stopped and turned off the traction control, then Revved it up to 2500 rpm and dropped the clutch----I matted the loud peddle to the floor and never let off the throttle. speed shifting from second through fourth gears and let off. I was amazed at the power it had, she spun the tires in first gear to much. so I short shifted to second gear at 5200 rpm and barked the tires with authority. And chirped the tires from second to third gear when I was in fourth gear I looked down and saw 95 MPH coming fast so I slowed it down.

The Fiesta handled like a real sports car, if not better than most out there, needless to say I feel in love with the car, and I would have bought it today if it was what I wanted. The color was black with Ricardo split leather seats, I liked them ok, but they were to small for my frame to fit right. It had a sun roof which I can live without. Also had that navigation system installed which I do not want. If the exterior had been white with black cloth seats, no navigation, and no sun roof. I'd purchased it today. I did however order my Ford 2014 Fiesta ST. In white exterior color, and the special cloth seats with ST logo in dark black color which is standard for the Fiesta ST. I did order one option though, the wheel and tire package with the red color disk brake housing. Salesman said 6 to 8 weeks it should be at the dealership by then. I can't wait for it to arrive, so I can start increasing the performance. I will keep you all posted when It arrives, with pics and what not.

All the best, Arless

I'm flattered that you said that, Oh! I forgot to mention that I test drove a mustang v-6 automatic that was loaded up pretty good with options, black leather seats, navigation, heated power seats. Also has that shaker sound system, and it totally rocks. Also has a spoiler and rear side window louvers. A performance front spoiler, that has that semi longer length "CA. special" edition. The mustang was to cramped, and the rear view had very limited site for traffic. Ran great though, plenty of power, just not my cup of tea. I am going to wax my wife's Fiesta SE this morning so... I had better get after it.''Latter dude
