I I have been having problems with cylinder 1 on my fiesta. First and second gear are fine but when I am in 3rd or higher and above 4800 rpms I star getting - corrections like -4.5. I have done new plugs, GDI cleaning and have fixed anything that could make false nock. All the other cylinders look normal. Any ideas?

Bad gas? I’d try to put a gallon of E85 in it. Maybe that’ll help.

EDIT: I now realized it’s just 1 cylinder.

The only thing I could possibly think it could be is the injector on cyl 1. It may be performing ok at certain pulse widths and not others or maybe struggling to flow at a certain rate. It could be something as simple as contaminates clogging the injector. I'm just shooting from the hip here but it does help the diag process knowing its isolated to one cylinder.

I actually think this might be the most probable issue. Idk why that didn't occur to me
If replacing the coil pack solves the problem, please let us know.

Rotate your coil-on-plugs and see whether the problem follows the coil-on-plug.

EDIT: This is an old thread.
