Radio goes full volume randomly.

I missed this post. I have the same issue, it happens occasionally. I’ve noticed that it happens after I turn it up. Seems to only happen in some positions.

My fix?

Turn the dial to the left a click or two and use the control on the steering wheel to increase volume.

I generally don’t use that knob much, but when I do, I always go past my target volume then backtrack a few “clicks”

get some electric contact cleaner and pull the knob and give it a spray or two. this happens on a couple other cars i own.
