Hey everyone. I'm selling my Sync 3 Non-Nav APIM + 6.5" screen pulled from my 2016 Fiesta ST. I upgraded to a nav unit so have no need for this.
  • Model # G1BT-14G370-BM
  • Sync is updated to 3.4.23188 via CyanLab's Syn3 Updater.
  • CarPlay worked with a proper CarPlay compatible USB hub (I used HC3Z-19A387-F). Android Auto should work but I don't have an Android so I never tested it.
  • Info for APIM's AsBuilt values (2016 USDM Fiesta ST, base, ambient lighting, no navigation, no sunroof, no recaros, ST splash screen)
  • The only thing included is what you see pictured (screen attached to the APIM). No other hubs, wiring, GPS, etc. are included.
Good replacement unit if yours is acting up. If you are upgrading from Sync 2, please do some additional research as I am not 100% sure what else you need to buy (brackets? USB hub? USB harness adapter? GPS connector? etc.)

With the unit off (black screen), it appears to have a few scratches if you shine a flashlight to it, but nothing deep and nothing noticeable when the unit is on. Keep in mind it's original to my 2016 ST with >80k miles so I'm not advertising it as a brand new unit.

$300 shipped to the lower 48 via USPS, tracking # and signature requested. PayPal only if not local.
I can also coordinate local pick up in Los Angeles and accept cash.
PM me to purchase. Comment below if you have any questions.

Thank you!

(Mods, I took the last 3 photos of the unit plugged in prior, so I don't have my username/date on those, but after I pulled the unit out, I took photos with my u/n & date displayed)

I wonder if replacing this unit on mine would eliminate the CD (I know, I'm the ONLY one still using them!) sticking in the player when I hit eject and the screen tells me there is NO CD in the unit?? [dunno]

I already tried every single 'standard' reset/reboot/etc. out there, and the only way to get the disc to eject from the player is to totally disconnect the battery and then reconnect after 5 minutes.

Also, would I get back my (currently frozen to due north) in screen compass function as well?

If you were nearby, I would've let you try it out, but unfortunately I have no idea. I just picked up the car last month and haven't used the CD player at all. Isn't the CD player part of the ACM (not APIM)? Or is it its own unit? You might need a new ACM.

The compass problem could either be the APIM or the GPS connector from the OEM harness. For my new nav unit, I bought the Xtenzi XT91835 Blue fakra GPS which is the most recommended model. I see folks claiming to use this for non-nav units too if you're retrofitting Sync 2 -> 3. As a somewhat cheap test (~$15), you could try buying that GPS connector, unplug the OEM one, and plug the Xtenzi in to see if it works.

What model number is used for the one with NAV? Did you need to program it?

The one I found was "g1bt-14g370-cl". According to a random YouTube video's description:
No Navigation - G1BT-14G370-BM
With Navigation - G1BT-14G370-CL OR G1BT-14G370-BL
It seemed to work without any changes, but for safety I applied my original APIM's asbuilt values to the new APIM, since the nav one was off an automatic.

Oh I see. Awesome! Thanks for the response! My screen blacked out. Keeps trying to reboot itself. Figure I should just upgrade right away. Happy to hear it worked for you 👍🏽

No, you're not the only one using your cd! That's the only time I can crank up the sound is when I'm alone in my car. Blues, George Thorogood, Rory Gallagher, AC/DC, love 'em all!

Just got an email stating that George is going to be at the Fantasy Springs casino in Indio on Fri 6 Sep. Already bought my tickets for the 4th time!
