This is my plan as of now, Map Intake,Cp-e IC, Tune+ and plugs, Cobb CBE, Pierce Street kit, CP-e RMM, Cp-e charge pipes for when it's time for Meth, TTR engine mounts, Boomba STS and bushings, GFB DV+, Powerflex suspension bushings, and I'm thinking the MeisterR but leaning more to B14's. I honestly would love to throw a set of MCS's on but they don't have them for the FiST :( I could get some custom made but $$$$.

I plan to get my tune and plugs, then do some pulls and see how the car feels. I want to at least put on the IC pretty early as I'm sure it sucks as bad as the FoST does. I'm not sure how much I will do before a Hybrid turbo but a DP was thought of. I will go over that with Adam when I get my tune. There is some things in the works with this and the X-37 is most likely. The C39 seems like a good option but too early to tell. There was also talk of a X-37+ but that may not pull through. Then you have another step beyond all those which would be the MRX from Mountune. If they mimic the MRX FoST kit, I will most likely go this route except that kit already uses the smallest EFR and our engines are too small unless we utilize and extended redline to counter. Basically I'm looking to keep the powerband between 3000-7000 and at least 260whp on 93 but 300 would be ideal. With a Turbo swap I would only go this route if 330-350whp was possible and response was not over 3500. I stay in low gears when I drive, but when your mountain carving a thick linier power band is ideal :)

I usually research cars for a while, like 2 years lol. My last 2 vehicles I followed a while before they came out. I was down the same road with the RS but never anticipated this huge of a delay. I knew it was going to be bad, but nothing like it is :(. My mods I listed are basically from 1 week of searching so any input would be great :)
Pretty much the same exact mod path I plan to do, with the exception of; no intake or chassis bracing, the boomba racing recirculating BPV/BOV system instead of the GFB, a different CBE (the Tomei titanium IF it is ever released), and Koni Sports with Swift springs over/next to them instead of the 'all in one adjustment' adjustable coil overs.

I FULLY agree with spending twice as much for one of the best engineered, highest build quality ICs (the CP-E, which I AM going to get), over the half the price 'bargains' most do. [thumb] [wink].
But I plan on going Stratified for both a canned/flash tune initially, and then a full custom tune once the IC and boomba BOV are on the car.
IF I ever go cyborg 39 (or above that if Bryan ever releases the 'experimental' stuff he's working on), either Alex at Strat, or DHM are going to custom tune the thing.

I WILL get at least one set of summer street only wheels/tires even BEFORE any suspension mods (save for Powerflex bushings and aftermarket sway bar endlinks), and they will probably NOT be the lightest things on the planet [:p] (Pro Race 1.2s in either 16x7 or 17x8 with 215/45s or 215/40s on them).
With a dedicated set of pure winter wheels/tires next late summer, and maybe a set of the lightest 15" track setup I can find without doing the PIA 4x100 conversion with 225/45s on them, once I do lower the car some. ;)

Her car was a 1.6L NA with European IB5 transmission. It was closer to a R1 than a R2. The car was pretty much stock except for safety equipment and some parts robbed from the EU Fiesta Movement cars. The car was sold to Preston (I think) who put a new 2014+ nose on it. Her car is easy to spot, it is silver with mismatched window trim after it rolled in one of the first rallies.
OK, thanks!

I will look for it next year at STPR and NEFR when I volunteer for marshalling/flying finish control duties. [:)]

So she is not going to be campaigning anything on next year's Rally America events at all, or does she have a new ride for the series??

Oh coilovers sorry. I had ordered the B14 but cancelled it after seeing them side-by-side with the MeisterR. The full adjustability is great. I had to pay about 50 bucks more for the MeisterR but it was without a doubt worth it. I really feel their quality exceeds their price. I'm sure other people would agree? [MENTION=759]Hijinx[/MENTION] The Bilstein are obviously a vast improvement over stock though. Plus I think you can get them pretty cheap stateside from modbargains.
As I always say, you get what you pay for, but for the Meister Rs (and select few parts on the forums), you get a little bit more.

Then you have another step beyond all those which would be the MRX from Mountune.

what makes you think that the Mountune turbo is going to be more powerful than the X-37 or Cyborg 39? It's called the Mountune Fiesta ST MR265, the 265 denoting 265 bhp which we all know is not the same as WHP. The X-37 has been shown to make anywhere from 220-270 whp depending on mods, tune and method of HP calibration ie Vdyno, Mustang Dyno, Dynojet. The upcoming Cyborg 39 is expected to be capable of more. I have one on order, so I'll report once I finish tuning it and running it on the dyno. Just wanted you to be aware.

True, but even with these relatively light to begin with cars, I would rather 'add lightness' even if it takes much coin and effort, and yes giving up some "creature comforts", since that method ALWAYS yields much more reliability with it's speed gains, due to much less stress ALL AROUND on the whole drive train, than 'throwing power at' a heavier/full weight platform does. [wink]

I wonder what a 2400 lb. (or even a little less than that) 'wet', but driverless FiST would look like? [dunno]
I applaud, support and not-so-secretly admire anyone who ruthlessly removes the last ounce of extra weight from their daily drivers. Just not willing (or allowed) to do this myself. (I did a smaller aluminum spare tire and 16x7 wheels for marginal weight savings and that is just about as far as I am willing to go)

I'm going of what was posted in terms of we are not getting a Hybrid from Mountune. The UK market is. it was posted the US market is getting something more then a Hybrid as in BT kit like the MRX for the FoST. This is speculation and hearsay at this time I so pose but that is what I'm going off of.

I have the Boomba BOV on My FoST and love it. This is a consideration and kind of up in the air at this time. I may go this way as well. GroundControl made an awesome Cup kit for the FoST with Koni Yellows, if I put dampers on the FoST I would of went this way :).

I went through 4 Tunes on the FoST and I'm currently running Freek. I had Randy as well when he was back with Fswerks. Well thanks to a nifty thread I found another option for a Hybrid, the Perron and I'm going to investigate this option a little more :)

My plan is a little backwards then some. I will get a set of PR 1.2s, or thats what I'm thinking lol 17x7.5 and then use the stockers for winter. I will run the stock tires until death then switch them for Direzza ZII SS 215/40R17. I will most likely run Blizzak WS80 as winters. I know Tire Rack has OZ Ultraleggeras in 15 weighing in @ 12lbs I believe but are only 7"s wide.

^^^IF Ground Control comes up with a coil over conversion kit for the Koni Sports for OUR cars, I WILL go that way! [biggrin]

Last I spoke to them (about 6 weeks ago), they told me that they are getting a FiST into their R&D shop this fall, and hope to have something on the shelf by late spring. [:)] [cool]

That is also the very same tire (215/40-17 Direzza SS2) I would use on 17x8s, and the 16x7s (I WISH it were an 8!) would get either the Kumho XS, or BFG Rival S in 215/45-16.

I am going to try and get through this coming winter on the factory ordered, 205/40-17 VR Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3s.(The WHOLE rationale for ordering them. [wink])

I'm working on that now :) My goal isn't drastic but pushing 300whp with Meth is close to ideal. I plan to do some diet mods as well.
I'm going to blunt, so don't be alarmed. 300whp on a hybrid is ill-advised. A realistic expectation, balancing power and reliability, will net you around 260 +/- 10whp max (with an awesome power band) on a hybrid. If you can settle with that, then a hybrid may be for you.

Well thank you :) Honestly numbers are just that for me as of now. Once I get the car and drive it for a bit I can make my ultimate decision then. 300whp just gets me in the ball park of a tuned RS with power to weight. 260whp is where my FoST sits at but weighing 3150lbs. The other thing is the FoST makes massive TQ like 350+WTQ and its a far downward climb to make 260WHP. The other thing is that the FoST can rev good up to 7k but sadly makes little power at that level. A Hybrid on a FiST will at least give me the same power but with less weight and a more linear curve. I can spin tires in 4th when wet if I'm not careful, huge TQ is fun but not when it falls flat up top.

Like I stated originally is that I'm into drivers cars. A Hybrid will no doubt fit the bill in terms of what I want from the vehicle in terms of experience and delivery. I do like power to though :)

I'm so damn jealous of you going to the rally school. I'd kill to go there for a few days. My car should be done with all it's mod except for wheels and tires by the end of October so in a few years when I move back to the US I plan on building a rally car. I'd love to get my hands on an old evo 5-7ish but it'll probably be an old WRX.

It was an amazing time :) They have a 1 day experience course that is pretty reasonable. 1 day is not enough though. 3 days minimum is where it is at. By the second day you finally get a rhythm and are comfortable on dirt. Switching back and forth between FWD, AWD and not to mention the Quattro vs Imprezza are very different in themselves that takes time to get acquainted. This was one school that really doesn't help me in terms of every day driving or even track driving but it does help with car control dynamics. If you have never done this type of driving it comes down to being almost the exact opposite on tarmac in how you pick lines and brake. You can practice LFB on the road but your not really utilizing it unless your at the limit of grip, but when that white stuff falls, send it :)

I thought about doing Rallycross but again it comes down to time :(. I was absolutely amazed in how a basic Fiesta handled. When I was in the FiST it was more then enough car for the dirt. The second time I went I kind of lucked out with it being me and one other student and he drove Trophy trucks. We both really had no desire to learn Stage notes as we didn't plan on doing any Stage rallies. This meant day 5 we spent all day on Stages and driving :) On day 4 I stayed in a WRX hatch and on day 5 I was in the FiST. Both amazing cars but man if you know how to drive that FiST is the way to go, so much control and the way you can link corners is just amazing. I wish I had video because even my instructor who was the 2wd rookie of the year was extremely impressed and said my stages were close to perfect and sections were absolutely perfect. If I were to build a Rally car it would be a Fiesta even a basic one :)

They say if you really think your a good driver go during the winter. If I go back, or should I say when, it will be in the snow.

Sounds amazing. I'll have to save for the 5 day course. My wife is working now and we're not planning on having kids for four more years so I could probably swing it just before we start makin' babies lol. Until then I'll just keep driving the Nurburgring [perfect10]

^^^Were you able to catch any of the German round of the WRC, live and IN PERSON??

The tarmac they use is so rough and dusty/gravel strewn in some sections, that it is almost like a smoother gravel rally.

Deal should be going through today :) First mod is to swap over my shit, order winter tires, then load up my Tune and get a Protune. I plan to add the PM Street kit very soon as well.

Awwwww sheiiiiiit, welcome to the club!

Literally the most fun car I've ever driven and like you it's far from the fastest/most expensive I've driven. I say most fun but I've never driven the Atom lol. After seeing it at the nurburgring I've been wanting to get in the driver seat!

Deals good, picked it up today well kinda lol. Drove to work in my FoST and left in a FiST.

Question though, Left Foot Braking? My FoST didn't like it with everything off b ut in sport mode it would let me, seems the FiST cuts throttle no matter what. Will a tune fix this? I know the Rs was the same way as well.

I know it dumps boost with any throttle lift off. if you hold the traction control button instead of just pushing it once the traction control is fully defeat able
