I am still waiting my TD Pro race wheels 15x8 to come in, which are going to wrapped in BF Goodrich Sport Comp 2's. 195/55/15. I am really getting tired of the bouncing on the stock suspension, car has 25k miles on it. I am really heavily debating on getting coilovers. but I am undecided. My car is daily driving, and I do not want it to be super low as MI roads suck. So I will be staying stock ride height on the coilovers maybe a little lower. I do not autcross, I do however go to the drag strip once or twice a month. I cruise every weekend, do canyon runs with friends. So if I were to get the coilovers which ones do I get? Best recommendations.

thanks everyone!

Bilstein also has a kit out for the Fiesta - PT# 47-242043. Should get you a full coilover set up with rear coils and shocks. It's been a couple years since the FiST release, not entirely sure what Bilstein was up to during that time but I'm glad they finally got a set for the FiST done. I don't know anyone who runs it though - I may be a test dummy.

KW or ST would be perfect for your needs. With this coilover, you have the adjustability to make your ride feel exactly the way you want it.

I bought the ST XTAs used off a forum member and installed them over the weekend. In my opinion they ride better than stock in all circumstances except over irregularities like expansion joints or non-flush manhole covers which cause a sharp jolt which wasn't present with the OEM suspension. I think it may have to do with the solid front mounts and uniball. I have the rebound damping set to about 9 out of 16 and have the height set about 5 mm below its highest level.

With you on 55 series tires I'd be very surprised if the ride didn't improve. Beware, though, that with most if not all coilovers, a stock ride height cannot be achieved. You'll likely be lower by at least 0.5 inches even on the highest setting.

With your new wheel tire setup you'll have a lot more sidewall to absorb some of the harshness. My .02 is if you are looking at getting coilovers for ride quality only test out the ride around with the new tires first and then make the decision.

I have Bilstein coilovers and 205/50/15 in summer and 185/60/15 in winter. The ride with switching to 15s alone is better than stock. It's even better with coilovers and 15s but maybe 15s alone will make you happy.
