Took 15 minutes, turned car off then right back on and it loaded right away. Did not lose any settings.

Update for non-nav works. Now I need to figure out how to install the new USB hub. any help would be appreciated
I believe you have to remove the center console and then it's underneath there, held in with screws/bolts.

Just ordered the USB part to get Carplay working. Should be here in a few days. Does it just snap out or do I have to remove the whole center console? If so, I might as well upgrade shifter bushings while it's out.

My 16 with nav is working like a champ. The car did not like my Anker usb cable, kept saying usb device not working properly. Original Samsung cable worked fine. Unlike Chevy you can just say "ok google" to start a voice command, no need to touch any buttons. Sirius radio works fine, top black bar now displays channel info.

What's the part number? Thanks!

I'd like to know why the usb part has to be "upgraded". I wonder if it puts out more juice? Might be a worthwhile upgrade for the Android crowd too if we can get the phones, etc. to start charging faster. I have a dashcam that requires 2.1A, also, that could benefit...

The hub is backordered so it is going to be difficult to try to order it for a few weeks.

Does the phone have to be plugged in to the usb for android auto to work? I thought there was an update to AA that allowed it to work over bluetooth.

I'll have to wait til I get home tonight to load, anyone tested with a USB-C phone (Nexus 5X)? There's no reason it shouldn't work, but generally that's how my luck goes.

Faster charging would be nice. With my phone it does charge while using AA, not fast but is pretty good. With my Chevy rectal car while plugged into AA it took hours to charge and even then would only go up a few percent. I'll still keep my quickcharge 2.0 charger in the car when I need to quick boost.
