He says it's a 3-cylinder, but it's clearly the American version of the car which would have power 4 cylinder, unless he swapped the new European ST engine in, which he doesn't mention doing.

That listing is so cringe. I am embarrassed for the seller. "I am very knowledgeable about mechanics..... It is a 3 cylinder turbo, and has a lot of aftermarket parts available online for purchase."

Ya I was laughing when I read the ad . He sits there and states that you can easily hit 400hp with bolt ons. He also states that the car was made in Sussex England and imported. LOL Your engine was you idiot not your car. :ROFLMAO:

That’s pretty close to where I live but I’ve not seen this car before. That sound system looks like what the high school kids used to run. I’m sure there won’t any rattling in that interior once you take the speakers out. Lol.

I messaged the guy and told him it was a 4 cylinder. He message back that no, they switched to a 3 in 2019. I told him to open the hood. :ROFLMAO:

He replied that I'm right. Says he's barely driven it.

I imagine he just read that 2019s got new engines but didn't know that didn't apply to our models. At least he knows now.

Says he is a auto industry professional (whatever that means) AND very knowledgeable about mechanics, but he didn't know what engine the car has. What a tool.

He could have known before too if he read the first line of the first page of the manual he posted as one of the pictures: 1.6L GTDI EcoBoost I4 engine

If you want to sell your FiST, now is the time.
If you like it, don't sell it. Turns out these are pretty rare in the USA.
This is, and will always be a cult car. It's worthy of that status. It has no competitor here. Abarth? Please...
Ford Performance did an outstanding job of making a truly fun hot hatch for the lucky few who even know what that is.
On the one hand, I’m ready for a new experience at 6’5” sitting in the car is getting uncomfortable after an hour or two (maybe my seat foam is worn out, the seat is my biggest complaint). On the other hand, I’m terrified of losing all of the things I love about this FiST when I trade it. I don’t think it will be possible to find a car that gives me more space while retaining the fun to drive nature and exceptional fuel economy.

Also, as much as I can get more for my car now, everything else has gotten more expensive so from a finances perspective I’m essentially in the same position I was in before the used market took off.

Agreed. It's one thing if you have other cars or you've already decided what's next, it's new, and it's available. And taking advantage of a few extra thousand dollars and needing to dip back into the used market and trying to find a car, not worth it.

There are some amazing cars available. Some with exceptional mileage. Some fast. Some functional and useful with space and utility. Some fun. Very, very few that do it all as well as the Fiesta.
