If you were going aftermarket, do you guys plan on sticking with the same wheel size, going one smaller or bigger?

I think I'd have to see it. I think the 17s ROCK but depending I the rim. It could sway me.

17" is a good balance, 18"s are going to ride real rough.

What about 16s? There are a few rims out there that might look good that one bit smaller.

Upgrade to 215/40/17 after OE tires wear out.

Once my tires wear out, I'll go down to 16'' in the summer. We got such bad roads here, that a little more tire won't hurt. I think it's gonna be the best choice for the track

I haven't started to look into that yet. I have to run summer + winter tires up north, so I plan on my current summer tires to last at least 2 years. So the wheel change is not very high in my list.

Im running 17" Sparcos but Im really considering going down to 16" by the spring/summer. I need more rubber driving in these harsh city streets.

I went with 17x7.5 Sport Tuning T9s (from tire rack) wrapped with 215/40-17 Dunlop Direzza D2s. They should still come out 1-2 pounds lighter than the stock wheel/tire combination and I'm hoping there will be more traction.

Im excited to see them on your ST Pelo...
Should be late afternoon or Tuesday morning for the mounting and balancing. I will take lots of pictures. I know I am going to want to drop the car about half an inch too. I hope it looks as good as I envision it in my mind. [like]
