Window tinting--hints, tips, tricks, etc?

Not now, but when able to justify the expense, I'd like to get the glass tinted on my FiST. Anyone got suggestions, etc. for a guy who's never done this, or, should I say, had it done? Last thing I want is something that's gonna look like I had it done in Elbonia.

Go with a non-metalized tint like 3M Crystalline. Metalized tint can affect your phone and gps signal.

Find a good local place to do it and get some references. I had mine done about two weeks ago at a local shop that I found. They did an excellent job.

Same here, references are great to have. I did that same, local shop that a few of my friends had do theirs, it turned out great.

Here are some pictures of mine. 35% tint on the side windows and 25% tint on the rear. Total cost was $450 with 3M Crystalline film.
