Ordered another set of h11 LED bulbs for my GF's car. Her car has the same bulbs as the fiesta. She saw mine and wanted a pair of her own on her accord sport. I also ordered (6) 194 sized LED bulbs for the interior of the fiesta and the 30wat LED bulbs for my fog lights. Took advantage of the 20% off.

Thanks for reminding me I have a bag of 36 blue 194 led bulbs I got for like $10. I should install them into all the interior lights in the FiST. It only takes like 6 you say? Then I'll have like 30 extra. Yay! (No idea what to do with all the extras)

2 license plate bulbs, 2 map lights up front, 3 bulbs at the back seat, and 1 bulb in the trunk. Total of 8 actually.

Im doing the 2 map lights, 1 rear ceiling light, 1 trunk light, and 2 license plate lights. I should have ordered 2 more. Oh well.

Which lights are we talking about? The xenondepot ones? I know they're brighter but how's the actual output? I know sometimes the led have a good color but bad output.

http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-LED-headlight-kit-p/h11-led-hl.htm

Im not sure how much brighter they are then stock but Im sure they are not lower output than stock. Plus they last 50,000 hours. And the color is really nice. Website says 2500 lumens

EDIT: Just did a random google search for lumens on the stock bulbs. The leds are 2500 lumens a and stock are around 1000-1300. So almost double the output?

"Truth be told, the stock Phillips H11 bulb installed on the Prius do a credible job lighting the road at night when compared to other halogen headlights. The H11 bulb is a 55-watt rated bulb that outputs 1200 lumens +/-15%. This means your bulb can be outputting anywhere between 1000-1380lumens."

another article I found:

"Halogen systems have a bulb that produces light around 3200K, which is the familiar yellowish-white we are accustomed to seeing. Halogens are not as efficient as HID systems, with a typical 55 watt halogen bulb producing around 1000 lumens. In contrast, the HID bulb puts out around 3000 lumens and only consumes about 35 watts, making them tremendously more efficient. "

Hopefully these help. There was no editing at all on these photos. In the picture where I'm behind a Corolla I was only about 5 feet behind him and it's not going in his back window at all. With my older cars it would be going through the car and lighting up the road in front of him haha. Just fyi this is a 35 watt kit View attachment 8636 View attachment 8637 View attachment 8638 View attachment 8639 View attachment 8640 View attachment 8641 Just for shits and giggles I put a couple pictures of my reverse led's
Just ordered a very similar setup from TRS, H11 Morimoto Elite 5500K HIDs & XB LED Fogs, looks like an awesome set up with great reviews. What are your thoughts? Ease of install?

D3 SS 3D I absolutely love the setup. The install wasn't very hard, just have to pull the headlights and hook up a few wires, then find a spot to mount the balysts and you're done. Fog lights are even easier. The instructions say to remove the wheel but I just turned it to full lock and I had all the access I needed. Only think I wasn't crazy about was the fog light aiming. I ended up putting a few spacers on the bottom mounting tabs to get them aimed up a bit. Other than that I have loved it.

I will say that I would be very mindful when putting the actual headlight bulbs in. My drivers side fit perfect but the passenger side was actually touching the little silver cone reflector thing inside the headlight. I just took the bulb out and moved the reflector a little forward with a flat head. Probably not even a mm of movement but it was enough to clear the bulb. Didn't change the beam pattern at all

With this just said...aren't you worried about any residual heat possibly melting the inside of the lamp. I know these little fuckers get nice and hot alot. Just food for thought I guess...

haha I hadn't thought about it. But I've had hid kits in almost all my vehicles for years and haven't had a problem with heat so far (knock on wood). The reflector piece I had to adjust was metal so I'm not too worried but if it does start to mess it up ill have a good excuse to do a retrofit haha

Thanks, glad to hear you like the lights / setup. I’ve watched install videos for both the fogs and headlights so I have a general idea of what to expect. The install video on the fog did not include removing the wheel, they jacked up the front and turned the wheel inward, appeared to have plenty of access (sounds like what you did). On the other hand, I didn’t think about the headlight bulb potentially not fitting well into the OEM housing, but I’ll be on the lookout for any issues (thanks for the tips). I’ve gone ahead and bought some double sided tape, I will probably mount the ballast similar to how the video mounts them (inner fenders basically). I’m really looking forward to getting these on, currently on back order @ TRS, hopefully I’ll get them this month.

P.S. TRS has discount codes if you ask them via chat, used TRSFB10 for 10% off.

For your guys sake, I hope I never find you behind me at night or you may end up with a hammer sticking out of your headlight covers.

Just sayin
