Hello there,

Name is Rick, and I put my deposit on a Kona Blue FiST w/black Recaros, black wheels, and nav a week ago. I love my G8, but the time has come for something a little smaller and spunkier! Haven't had the pleasure of driving an ST yet, but I'm confident I'm making the right call. If anyone's interested in confirming my choice, though, I'm in central VA and would love to go on a ride. [twothumb]

My plans for immediately after getting it so far consist only of a catch can and a rear motor mount, I'm trying to restrain myself from violating that sweet, sweet warranty too badly. We'll see how that goes [deviltail]

Hope everyone is doing well!

Welcome

The 3 mods I recommend that are reversible if warranty work is needed are:

AP3 tune
Cobb RMM
FSWERKS SHORT SHIFT KIT, 25% and transmission bushings.

I put the Short Shift Kit on last week and I could not be happier with this mod. It cleans up the looseness of the transmission leakage and make the shifts short with solid engagement.

For clarification, only the Mountune MP215 tune is warranty-friendly. Any other tune can be found and can void the warranty, depending on how hard the dealership searches and how much they care, obviously. Ymmv.

Welcome!

Welcome to the forum, ijustworkhere, and congrats on the deposit! :) Did you place an order for this ST, or is it going to be a dealer transfer? If it was an order, feel free to send over your order number and dealer code in a PM, and I'll gladly provide you with order status updates until it's delivered.

Congrats on your new ST, SuperchargedTundra, and welcome to the forum! :) My name's Nick, the local Ford Service Rep. I'll be here should you ever need anything down the road, so don't hesitate to reach out. Enjoy that ST! :)

About 15 minutes west, trapped in Short Pump.

I was looking at short shift kits, too! Thanks for the advice [:)]

Good thing to know. I know I got some probing questions a few times when I took the G8 in for service, it's got a tune on it.

I ordered it! I can't find the paperwork at the moment, I'll see if I can get a copy when I go by there next.

Thanks for the warm welcomes, everyone! Think I'll like it here [wave]

Sounds good - just shoot it over whenever you get a chance, and I'll get started! :)
