What did you do to your Fiesta ST today ?

I've only driven around for a few miles to make sure all was well after disconnecting a lot of crap to install, but I can tell you there is a nice difference between the bracket bushings + adapter plate and stock. Everything is much more crisp. I'll end up doing the short shifter and base bushings in the future. At the same time I'll do a new shift boot and all that jazz so I only have to take apart the console once.
Yep I'm with you the trans plate bushings/short shift adapter are worth the effort. It made me want to do the other bits now even though it's great the way it is.

I'm debating if I want the other bits or not... I would feel sort of bad for backing out to the commitment to the group buy but at the same time I think a RMM or something would be better for me.

I personally want it for even shorter shifts. It took me a while to be convinced but now I want this lever. I don't think I'll return to stock in a hurry and plan to keep my car for a few years. If your gonna hard launch your car often RMM is definitely worth your while. I don't personally drag or hard launch much so I'm debating in my mind to return my RMM back to stock tbh. I'll give it a few more km's before deciding.

It's hard to justify $200 and a couple hours work for half inch shorter shifts. I'm honestly afraid to break Into the console after reading the short shifter install guide.... Probably go with a heavy shift knob first.

I think it's the part you inter act with the most so for me yes I think it's worth it but to each his own.

I'm in your boat. I drive 60 miles a day round trip and shift who knows how many times a day. I feel it's worth it. Even when I don't drive my car that hard (rare that I beat on it) I can still benefit from the SS.

Pulling the center console out isn't bad. I did it just for a new shift boot install and although I was having a tough time and thought it was going to break a little more pulling and it started to come up. There are two clips on either side just below the climate controls which popped off and fell down into console and disappeared! I was worried it would rattle afterward but it's been fine and doesn't look loose. If anyone has access to the schematics it would be good if they posted the schematic picture with part # for those clips since I'm guessing I wasn't the only one that happened to.

I think that happened to Rodmoe too but he fished them out. Wondering if there is a way to setup a 'trap' to catch any clips that come off.

Do those plastic trim tools make it easier? Anyone know?

It was approved so far, haven't heard back from the dmv about not being able to have it.. we shall see when it's supposed to come in in about 6-8 weeks.. lol

Lol. In the corner of the shield you will see my thatsteez.com thumbs up. Above that you'll see my inspection sticker and a tint sticker. Haha. It helps if you know the installer.

But that legal tint tho
