went wintermode (standard plasti-dipped fiesta 16" wheels and snow tires) and snapped a pic. loving the black, no more brake dust!!!

thanks. for a high-quality night shot you need a tripod. this allows you to use a longer exposure time (like a couple seconds) so that the camera can collect enough light without sacrificing quality. it's impossible to hand-hold the camera steady enough for any more than 1/10 a second or so. unfortunately i was just driving by and didn't have a tripod so i went as slow shutter speed as i could and bumped up the ISO a bit to compensate. as a result, this pic is a little blurry and noisy. oh well. if you want to learn more google "exposure triangle"

These are shots at dusk. The color shows off nicely but grainy b/c it getting dark. I think I'm done with the exterior mods so that's how the car stands today. The Rados are a mod for me b/c the car came with the silver wheels. I also painted the calipers. Love my wing risers.

No it was on the freeway. A Toyota Tundra wanted the same lane I was in.
The COP laughed when the guy said that he didn't see me.


I hop not for Dave's sake.

Hope everything else is good though dave. Other than the obvious damage.
The only damage appears the mirror and the rear quarter.
The front is just tire marks.
I will clean them up tomorrow to see for sure.
Maybe the Clear Bra got a little scuffed.

It certainly is not totaled so it will not be parted out.
I may just sell it soon anyway to buy a Pigmy Pony.
I was thinking of moving to Montana soon to be a Dental Floss Tycoon.

Ouch. Gues you have an excuse to mod the mirrors now.
The mirrors were already modded and I liked them the way they were.

Started a bit of an experiment today. Washed the wheels and applied wheel wax only on the driver side wheels. I plan to drive it a week or two, taking pictures every few days to document results. I want to see three things.
1 - How much longer do the wheels stay clean and repel brake dust with the wax?
2 - How does the wax hold up to heat/dust on front vs. rear brakes?
3 - When I can no longer stand it any more, is it any easier to clean the waxed vs. non-waxed wheels?

Passenger side got a thorough cleaning but the wheels weren't removed because I wasn't going to be applying wax. I could get between the spokes and inside the rim pretty well anyways. With any luck, I'll get some good results from this. In the mean time, anyone have recommendations on good wheel wax/sealant? I just picked up some "Diamond Edge" wheel wax for this test.

Got my permanent plates in the other day so I put them on finally and got rid of the dealer plate frame and sticker on the hatch. Looks much cleaner now

Getting my 2JR BC coil overs installed today at Mod Auto. 1st mod. I've had done by someone else besides myself. Bad back still not back to normal. Tomorrow I'll install the Tune+ wastegate. Then wash and detail it next week.
