Loving the shaved grille. I've given up on waiting for decent weather so that I could wash the car.

^^^It (the shaved grille) actually does something for your IC/radiator cooling with the DHM crash bar in place (vs. the totally blocking factory crash bar).

It does actually open up about an extra inch or 1.5 before the crashbar...

No doubt it's a functional cosmetic mod. I'm not really hurting for more IC efficiency, but any added airflow to the radiator is much appreciated. I also have one of the griffin radiators 2j racing was selling. The PO installed the fan too loose and it rubbed a leak in a couple rows. I got it patched up but never reinstalled. It's just been collecting dust since then.

THANKS for that info, as I was wondering WHO they sub-contracted to build their aftermarket radiator! [thumb]

It was a warm Christmas here, so I was able to give the car a proper wash. I was especially looking forward to trying out the chemical guys jetseal I picked up on black friday.

This stuff is legit. I wish I had better lighting to show how much the tricoat sparkles now and how glassy the paint looks.

Its just a matter of how long it lasts that will determine if it is worth the hefty price tag, although I got it at 30% off.

^^^That stuff looks righteous!! [thumb] [coolsmile]

Is it like an Ardex type sealer?

I have to put in an AutoGeek order soon, out of the Collinite 845, and I may try this CG stuff. ;)

CG likes to load up their product descriptions with dozens of scientific sounding adjectives, but from what I gather it's some type of acrylic containing sealant. It has decent reviews but I'm not sure if I can recommend it yet until I see how long it lasts on the paint.

I am impressed at the shine it gives, though. All I did to prep the paint was was with CG citrus soap, clay bar, and wash again. Didn't machine polish or anything. I might dust the car off tomorrow and add another layer of the jetseal to see if any more depth comes out of the paint.

Did some small maintenance things today. Removed the 10mm wheel spacers because I noticed some minor rubbing inside the front fenders. I also installed a mishimoto OCC. I also haven't posted an engine bay pic since installing the cp-e intake.

^^^Is that one layer, or two layers of the gold foil wrap on the metal sections of the cp-e intake?
It's one layer of tape that has roughly 50-75% overlap...more overlap on bends because I had a lot of tape and did the job quickly, haha.

I did some test fitting with 4tl-r projectors into the euro headlights. They fit pretty well with minimal modification.

I found a set of wood carving tools at home depot that are freaking awesome at getting permaseal headlights open. It took me 3 hours to do the first one and maybe an hour to do the second thanks to these little guys.

Driver side headlight is all buttoned up! Looks stock, which is exactly what I was going for.

Hoping to get my HID kit and retro rubber sometime this week so I can wire up the DRLs and get these installed.

Got everything installed and wired but I bought the wrong size fuse tap so no DRLs for the time being and effing TRS sent me a defective D2S igniter, so only one headlight is working right now. Good thing I won't need to do any night driving this week...

Man, I don't know...The passenger headlight randomly started working today. I didn't change anything or even drive the car, so go figure.

The morimoto 4tlr projectors are fantastic! I have morimoto xb 5500k bulbs installed.

Passenger side igniter took a crap again this morning. TRS is really good about warranty replacement, though, and they have already contacted me back about sending another unit out.
