Just wait until you go big turbo. My car went from making about 175whp stock to 275whp on E30 now. Extra 100 hp really changes this little car. Its a riot
I can only imagine. That sounds bonkers.

I have a used Cobb panel filter sitting around somewhere... If you show up to the next meet you can have it. It needs cleaning but it'll be one of the first performance mods.

Thanks for sharing. There's nothing ever important enough in my life to be somewhere other than my bed at 7am lol. I wake up 9ish am.. usually. That's gonna have to be a hard pass for me. Thanks tho

Quite honestly I am with you on that as I am a night person and being self employed can get up when I want to. Yet I have made exceptions for this as if you want to go to the race track or car races it usually means an early rise. For this reason I make the sacrifce as it always turns out to be an awesome day.

Yea..same here. I'm in the self employed dept. I guess it's weird that I'm on here if I'm not interested in racing. I do like meeting new people though. Maybe one of the meets one day lol. I'll put it on my maybe list lol.

*New update*

After getting my car back on the 23rd and proclaiming success with repairs on here, I had a new issue. I got in my FiST on the 26th and it had loud chattering noises coming from the engine bay on deceleration. When accelerating or taking it out of gear...the noise would disappear. It was memorial weekend so I had to wait until the 28th to drop it off at the dealership.

Since then, I got a diagnosis from Ford that it's either the Flywheel or the Clutch. If it's the flywheel, Ford will pay for the repair. If it's the clutch, Sliver Rock (carvana's warranty company) will pay for it.

Sounds easy right?

Saturday 6/1 I get a message from Ford saying that Silver Rock will not authorize the tear down of the transmission. Apparently, somewhere in conversation between Ford and Silver Rock there was talk of a a possible 3rd "unknown" possibility. Because of this 3rd "unknown" issue Silver Rock will not authorize the tear down and would like for Ford to extend their manufacturer's warranty to cover the tear down of the transmission in the case of said "unknown." So now, we're waiting until monday to ask the warranty dept for this extension. Which I don't see Ford saying yes to.

I spoke with Carvana to get advise of this Chicken/Egg situation that might arise if Ford doesn't approve the extension. Carvana had no advise other than to get an assessment of what Ford might think this "unknown" might be. Which doesn't make sense! IF ANYONE HAD AN IDEA WE WOULDN'T BE CALLING IT AN "UNKNOWN." The ONLY way to find out what is ACTUALLY wrong ...we have to crack it open. So far we're standing at a stalemate for no good reason.

Obviously I'm getting ahead of myself and things could play out smoother. But the bureaucracy of this situation is mind numbing. Carvana also supplements any repairs Silver Rock won't cover in the first few months that it's covered.

I actually made the first round of repairs sound smooth but they were just as bad then too. The car was delivered on the April 24. I have driven the car a total of 10 days, 3ish days of which the car was driving seemingly normal.

So, I'm obviously venting. Has anyone else had situation like this? More importantly, when it was over, were you still happy with the car and have been trouble free since then?

Hello from another Glendale member. Good luck with your repairs. I hope it all works out.
Still waiting on warranty company to approve any repairs. Last time I talked to everyone it seemed like it needed a replacement transmission. Everything is super complicated but at least Carvana has had me up in a rental the whole time.

I'm still excited to get back in my little go kart when it's all done. It's 10 days away from 2 months since it was delivered and it's been sitting in a garage 99% of that time.

Finally getting somewhere. We're replacing the transmission and it also had an aftermarket clutch and flywheel. They were "Spec" brand. The replacement parts should be here mid next week and hopefully I'll be back in the Fist within the first week or so of July lol.
