Smoking car

Definitely hangs, first noticed when I was engulfed by the smoke at a stop light on my way back from the supermarket. Everyone was looking and staying far behind haha.
The last mechanics didn't smell coolant and the tests all came back great when they checked the engine. It was installed late August. They wanted me to get the car tune checked out before they go and charge me for a turbo install.

My car is blue so maybe its hard to distinguish white from blue in contrast. I'm curious, are you running a trac-spec as well?

No I don't have Trac spec , only difference is the ARP hardware and ceramic coating.
Turbo itself should be the same "whoosh hybrid".
Hopefully I could get this done soon to figure this smoke out.

Out of curiosity has the turbo had some hot shutdowns? It doesn’t take much coking to screw up the sealing on the turbine side.

Not really .I usually leave it on after I drive it . Especially with this problem I was always checking to see the amount of smoke .

2017 with 16k miles here, i have a catless dp and whoosh hybrid (i run 5w-30) and occasionally get smoke when coming to a stop at a light, people have told me (including tuner) its a combo of running catless and running ethanol, also last time i filled up i really noticed it after that initial fill up first few stops saw some smoke then it just went away.. also i do not have an OCC (its on the list) however i check my oil and coolant levels every week and i did see im a smidge above the max line on the dipstick, it could be some excess oil, it could also be the fact ive ran e30 basically since ive had the tune for it either way car runs fine.. so question is does any of that mirror your situation ? do u mostly run ethanol ? are you catless ? oil and coolant levels seem fine ? i notice it more when its a combo of hot day/hard driving

No ethanol on my car, oil is always in the correct lines.. and yes I'm catless coolant is fine. I haven't checked oil this week .
My car won't smoke at every stop . I have to stop for at least a minute for it to be noticeable.

It was smoking during winter so it's "cold" over in CA , if you have minimal smoke you should try 5w40.

It might help a little bit .

Changed oil around 3 weeks ago 5w40 , left it at "max".
Just checked it right now it's at minimum level.

Either its definitely burning oil or somethings loose and leaking and burning up whats leaking, id check around the turbo area (oil feeds) .. also if the smoke is happening under acceleration that also points to burning oil unless somethings loose

How difficult is it to check for a clogged oil return line with turbo still in car? After filling it back up to max line you will just need to ensure it isnt dropping anymore.
Thinking of all moving parts of this problem.
Maybe as soon as oil pressure lowers the oil just cant leave the turbo fast enough through the drain resulting in it seeping through the seals and igniting in the hot exhaust? But then wouldnt the problem be worsened by acceleration, why would it not dump smoke during acceleration? Wastegate opening maybe related-maybe it slings oil

Or maybe it continuously seeps and only ignites once the exhaust hits a certain temp while standing still. Only things I can think of is that metal expands with heat, and idling increases heat. Maybe after oil pressure changes at idle something indirectly causes the smoke to happen? No codes, couldnt be oil or water pump could it?
