What is the reasoning behind shaving the rear honeycomb grill? Not sure I've seen anyone do this before.
It is a massive parachute that can be felt at the top of 4th, 5th and 6th gears. Opening it helps air flow through instead of packing up. It is completely unnecessary for street cars.

Why the change in wheels? Style preference or performance gain?

Those look familiar!! Ha! *cough*rotarecce*cough*
Sort of both. I never really like the TD wheels I have and the newer 215s are really wide and pinched on that wheel. These will be perfect for the 8” wide 215s I run these days. TH2s were around long before the Recce but I’d be running the Recce if it cleared my brakes. It doesn’t even come close with a spacer unfortunately.

Hmm.... I wonder if the Wilwood's I have will fit then. Thanks for the heads up on that - something to look into.

The TH2's look great - just that general design pattern for rally hatchbacks just look great IMO. Your car is no different.

Thank you. Yeah Wilwoods clear. My buddy had them with Rota Titans. If you go with Wilwood, talk to Joe at 2JRacing while you’re shopping. He sells a Motorsport kit. The Wilwoods my buddy had literally melted and damn near killed him at Hutchinson Island. Apparently that version was for street only. He posted the details here years ago.. I think his screen name is acceljunky or something similar. Maybe search for “Wilwood Failure”. Joe raced a season on his Wilwood kit with no problems. He’s fast.

So the piston seals failed and leaked brake fluid on to the hot rotors which caught fire / lost pedal pressure? That's not ideal...

And I'm rebuilding them so now would be a good time to refresh them with a seal kit, I'll look in to that - thanks.

The TH2s were around LONG before anything else in that style, and I believe that Compomotive themselves supplied these wheels for the original Lancia Delta HF Integrale Group A WRC cars, and the corresponding homologation special street cars.

Indeed they did.

The crash detection issue on track is back. I have no clue what’s causing it. No codes.. It just senses a crash during high G transitions and shuts down the car, honks the horn and blinks the hazards. I’m baffled.

I’ve tried it on, sport and off. Same thing happens. The only common component is 215/40/17 Falken RT660 tires which have significantly more grip than my other tires. It still shouldn’t detect an accident. It started before the roll bar and driver steering wheel and seat air bag “trick” too. I’m leaning towards the alternator but what sucks is there are no codes visible on the AP. I’m going to hook my buddy’s SnapOn scanner to it tomorrow and see if it finds something else.

I’m looking into some Bridgemoto seats and a quick release, hope it’s not related to airbag stuff. I want to start tracking the Fiesta late this season or next season but I also want a headache free car. Is it track dependent like your fuel issue at AMP or is it everywhere?

Was it ever determined as to what the crash sensor's g threshold trigger setting is set to in order for it to send a shut down signal to the ECM?

It is hard to imagine it would be set to as low a g force as you are pulling in those sweepers, even with as much grip as you are getting from the Falkens, aero, and suspension combined (but possibly it IS that low??).

Or is it only supposed to send that signal in a frontal full, immediate deceleration, like a head-on with another vehicle, or a brick wall?
