I've been running logs all evening for temp differences and filter vaccum or what ever. Also made 250whp from 5400rpm+ peaking at 257whp and its 70 degrees here. Just posting " for the record" so when the after data comes in, the "before data" is what it is.

I'm going to have to actually find my cowls, lol.

Yes, definitely the last part is the filter. And you see how the angle needs to go on the filter neck. It cocks it over just enough for a snug fit.
Joe, the only thing I recommend is to add a 90 degree fitting to the pcv hose as it comes out of the intake hard tube as it crimps a little when it rests against the strut tower area. I'm going to do that this weekend.

We left the hoses about 5" long so you can cut to fit - the hose carries oil vapor from the valve cover, or in this case, out of your catch can - it acts only to pull the vapor through the can. But in your picture, I see your point. Good idea

What's that grinding sound after the first spool
It's because of the overly sensitive mic on my iPad, lol. I have the boomba RMM and i get a little vibration from my passenger door. The mic makes it sound much worse than it is.

Wow just looked on 2 j racing website this thing is only $150 ! That seems like a deal ! Only question I have is where it bends over the cowl does the metal from the intake tube rubbing against the metal cowl cause a nasty vibration noise ? Maybe slip a small piece of rubber in there over the lip? Just a thought anyone have input on that

Okay, so here is my review on the 2JR intake this morning on my trip to work. My commute was 23 miles and it took 1hr and 5 mins. So, from that, you can see that there is a lot of mixed driving involved. Half of the trip was 60-80 mph and the other half was stop-n-go/ sitting in traffic. This review is specifically for the daily driver. Later I will get some dataloging done at wot, etc.
So, for the review...the ambient temperature ranged from 65-69 degrees F outside and the air was thick and humid. At highway speed, my intake air temps actually got down below ambient and the charge temps varied from 2 degrees F to 10 degrees F above intake air temps, depending on how I was driving. Sitting in traffic, the intake temps did rise some, but nowhere near as much as an Injen intake for example.
I had no abnormal rattles or noises. The car ran great with no change or issues with air/ fuel, ign correction, etc. Sound wise...it is loud, especially at 70 mph plus. If you like a quiet car on long trips...this intake is not for you. It's louder than my MBRP exhaust WITH the race downpipe, lol. I do , however, love the sound. It's a symphony of intake/ turbo sounds :). If you have any questions, feel free to ask or let me know if I forgot something. Here is a short video from this morning on my go pro.

No issues with mine as the boomba RMM keeps the engine movement in check. I'm not sure with the stock RMM.

Im going to be buying a piece of rubber tube and split it with an razor and slip over the edge of the car under the intake.
