Hey SoCal, I think im still roughly 10k miles away, but does anyone know of any shop that is or has done timing belt/water pump/ and I guess thermostat (major service type work) for our platform in OC ? Willing to go into LA, but would be cool if they were local. I'd like to stay away from the dealer but only because I have a bad history with dealership service with cars I own. If this were a lease I wouldn't care, but since I'm keeping it id rather not go to a dealer. Any recommendations and experience would be cool, thank you !

bumping to the top here to see if anyone has any feedback. It is definitely time for the timing belt now, and wondered which steal/ dealership lol they've worked with to get that service done. Looking for more Orange County, but willing to drive if service was great and be nice to find an honest place. Thanks.

In Anaheim. They can help you with your needs. They’ve installed limited slip diffs and other parts for members here.
Hey thanks for the reply I called them last year and asked them about the timing belt/water pump and at the time they said they didn't. Called today, and they said the same and it hasn't changed. Diff/clutch/flywheel absolutely, just not that major maintenance. Thanks again for the reply, Ive had this question out for over a year (not just here) and everyone's response is just the dealer. I just broke 105k and wanted to plan out funding lol

I work in parts at Santa Margarita Ford in RSM. We have a great heavy line tech here. He’s a buddy of mine. I could probably help out on parts pricing but labor might be a little spendy. We might be able to price match though.

Your dealership has done the service already ? If so, RSM isn't too too far from me and id be willing to go there. I just wanted to make sure wherever I went had done it a few times already. While you hear about high mileage, haven't heard many stories from fellow owners in southern cal I just assumed no one has crossed the 120k OR do it themselves. (it just occurred to me what you may be communicating - ill pm you lol)

Good to know 👍
Yeah, I’d want to find a competent dealership or shop who’s done it.

another shop that comes to mind is Antspec in Fountain Valley, they were Cobb SoCal before. https://www.antspec.net/
