So I've decided to throw some more money into the jellybean, and am looking for input in how to spend my money. I love Ron and would like to support him and the company. Currently my ST has the following done to it:
Drop in air filter, Whoosh RMM, Accessport running stock OTS stage 1 (I know, gross), Killmat sound deadening, symposer delete, short shift kit.
I definitely would like to get a FMIC, but looks like Whoosh is out of stock on the V3. I would also like to upgrade my exhaust. Nothing too loud and drone prone, but something that has some good sound to it under acceleration. I would love to get a full "stage 3" up and running, curious about tunes as well.
I'm sure I could upgrade FMIC, exhaust, tune for under $2500 (which is my budget), but what other add-ons/peripherals could you guys recommend in that budget point (charge pipes, hangers, etc.)? If I could swing some coilovers as well, that would be sweet.

Curious what your thoughts are!

Nothing gross about Cobb stage 1. Everyone starts somewhere.

Since I’m not seeing “turbo upgrade” in your list (or your budget), I’d recommend against the V3 intercooler as it can hurt throttle response if you intend to stick with the stock turbo for the near future.

That said, intercooler is the single most necessary upgrade to enable more power. Not sure what your definition of “Stage 3” is, but if you’re going off Cobb’s kit list, the downpipe is uneccessary unless upgrading the turbo, and even then pretty optional if you’re just doing a hybrid/S280.

With your budget, I’d recommend a whoosh v1 intercooler and a Stage 2 tune from Dizzy or Stratified which will net more power than Cobb’s Stage 3. Step colder plugs if you haven’t already and DV+ or other upgraded bov and boost clamps for reliability.

If you want some noise, that’s cool, but I’d personally put the money you’ve got into small suspension upgrades first. Don’t waste hard earned money on cheap coilovers, they simply don’t last more than a couple years.

- Torsion beam stiffener or 19mm rear sway bar will wake the tail of the car up.
- Trunk brace is a cheap easy install for rear stability.
- 2-Point or 4-Point lower brace up front will help just as much as the RMM.

If your car has mileage, consider replacing shocks. Bilstein B6 would be my first choice. Add some camber bolts up front, maybe rear camber plates and if you haven’t and get a good alignment. Invest in good tires.

If you want sound, everyone’s favorite exhaust seems to be the Thermal R&D, but barring that, a 2.5” system (Cobb, Flowmaster, etc) is generally easier on the ears. Pick your choice of intake if you want more noise but dont expect big power gains from those. If you want other power related bits and pieces, Dizzy has a neat guide for the bare essentials:

Everyone loves Ron here, but if you keep your eyes open and have some patience, good used stuff comes up on the forums for more affordable price than new.

Thank you Dialcaliper! This is exactly the sort of answers I'm looking for. I really appreciate the dizzytuning guide link, I didn't know about that at all! I'll look into all of your recommendations, and I really appreciate the input.
