I'm currently installing the whoosh smf kit. That's their single mass flywheel with sprung clutch and yellow pressure plate. Gonna be a minute before I put it all back together because I accidentally punched a hole in my transmission case, luckily the top case and I already got another on the way. Mostly just looking if anyone's got any mileage on this kit so I can feel more comfortable that I'm not going to be destroying my transmission. Thanks

I have the RTS Dual Friction SMF style setup on my Fist for the last 30Kish* No issues here. I also have a Clark Fully Built Transmission with a Wavtrac LSD along with ever Bell and Whistle he has to offer. I also have Ran the Fomoco Fluid....Bg Syncro shift 2 and Ravenol MTF 2 * All are great choices. The flywheel i do believe you have is an RTS and is pretty mush the same weight as the OEM DMF..

I have messaged Ron to see if he has any data on this. From one customer they said they weighed the stock DMF at 27lbs and the Whoosh SMF at 20lbs, which isn't a huge reduction in weight but it's something. I'm just worried now if switching to the SMF kit is gonna cost me my transmission. Seeing that no one has any reviews on the Whoosh kit is making me kinda feel like the guinea pig but I guess I'll just have to see how it goes. Worst case I'll probably save up and throw a Clarke transmission in

whats the question - whether it works or not? Got about 30K on a woosh smf, and RTS, with a Clarke (not a 'colby') and wavetrak. 1st gear took some time to get my footwork right. Now its time for struts again...

Whether the SMF ends up causing damage to transmissions. I have a stock transmission and have heard lots of people tell me they've lost reverse or eventually ground gears using SMFs. But I've not heard of anyones experience using the whoosh kit on a stock transmission.

You say you got 30k on the whoosh. Do you feel it was worth it?
