2016 FIST, upgraded to Sync3 3.0. Ordered GJ7Z-19A387-B from Ford Parts Giant. They sent -D instead. Can't for the life of me get CarPlay or Android Auto to work. Plug in phone, charges, and Sync says "Device detected" followed by "Indexing phone". No carplay. Android Auto similar. I did the update with USB twice, no change. I tried 3 different iPhone cables, no change.

Thoughts?

The -D part supersedes the -B and -C versions, so it's the newest version.

When you connect Carplay Siri does have to be enabled on the phone.
When you connect Android Auto you have to first enable it in Sync 3's settings.

Ok, good to know. My phone is set up for carplay on other cars, so I know it works. I also rebooted it. My next guess is the USB port not working correctly, but open to other thoughts :(

Well, now the screen "USB hubs are not supported". Hmmm, I'll see if I can pick up another module.
