Coolant looks pink?

I purchased the motor craft yellow coolant to top off my coolant since it was low. When I went to do it I realized it looks pink rather than orange. Is this normal, or did the previous owner flush and add new coolant?

You can use either of those yellow or orange/pink coolant. They can also be combined/ mixed without any issues as per Fords TSB.

That was the color my coolant was when I drained it. is that the "bad" reservoir that was recalled? I've never seen that one before, I have an egg shaped one.

I believe all the new coolant from Ford is Yellow.

YES, but only if the 17S09 recall was required for certain '14-'15 cars.

The new coolant is yellow, and it is backward compatible with the older orange coolant. Here is the Ford document stating that-
