Thanks for the tips! I'm able to get 15% off now on my order, but I don't know if I'll pull the trigger. If I do the mod ill fit and install it, and test install the bumper. If anything rubs I'll sand down the threaded bar with my Dremel. Did you happen to measure how long that threaded bar needed to be cut down?

Holy "gotta get a pro-tune" batman !!! 14.8psi and 5.00+ on all cylinder correction = tons of power left in the tune

:p I never really bothered getting a lot of revisions on my 93 tune since I run e30 most of the time. Plus I've gotten an IC/Downpipe since I got my last revision.

Dyno tuning tomorrow.

How high do your corrections go?

How does your crash bar effect the airbag sensor? I want to install your bar, but I am concerned that I will trigger the airbag or create an airbag issue when I install. Am I being over cautious, and is the air bag sensor not as sensitive as I am thinking it is?

I get your concern having been hit by an airbag once (it sucks), however I would have to say you are being overly cautious. To my knowledge airbag sensors are just accelerometers that trigger the airbag if a certain threshold for deceleration is met, I.E. you hit something that isn't going to move and it slows you down nearly instantly. Changing out the crash bar should not have any ill effects on this operation. Just my 2 cents.

Yes. All of us who have installed this have just been driving around with our air bags blown up and hanging out of the steering wheel. Imagine my shock when I was pulling off the air bag sensors and BANG the air bags went off.

/sarcasm obviously. If you're so paranoid, disconnect the battery when you install. [MENTION=27]arlisscm[/MENTION] is right.

Same here honestly, I had the first sensor unbolted and then as I was holding it in my hand I thought... maybe I should unhook the battery...

All I can think of with this convo is that scene from Neighbors with Seth Rogan when the airbag is in his office chair. Lmao. BOOM.

Lol, you bunch of smart assess are FUNNY!

I'm not so worried about it going off when installing as I am with it randomly going off while driving because of something that I did wrong while reinstalling. I have idea how that sensor works or how the factory crash bar functions in relation to that sensor, as I have yet to look at it.

It seems like a perfect offset made in heaven, with 12lbs reduced from the front end with DHM's crash bar, and 12lbs added back in with Mishimoto's oil cooler thumbsup

This might be a dumb question! But since so many, and sure more will. Why haven't any Vendor made a grill version that is all open.
So any one don't have to do all that work? Or is not enough interest for them to make one?

Zunsport.com in Europe did, but there is some questions as to whether or not it fits the North American bumper. One person said it doesn't, but I believe the company still maintains that it should and advertises it that way.

I think it's one of those cost vs value vs DiY capability. The majority of Fisters are content with the look of our grill. Some just want the bottom open for air flow. Easy DIY in comparison to many things. A company would have to source our grill and do it them self then sell for big bucks (due to cost of our grill) or try to make a new style grill that would entice enough people to buy it to make it worth their while. It's literally easy with the right tools and patience and costs nothing to do you self. A vendor can't beat free while maintaining a good business model. Gotta pick your battles for what to offer.

Thank you for the response! Yeah see that that UK place have some. And see that price is a factor. Darn sure I to it your self, on my grill if it ever needed to be done.
That one black grill with the currency rates is over 400 USD....

I considered doing this if my grille turned out good. The reason I decided not to is this: I'd need to charge a core charge of almost $300, as this is how much it costs to buy this piece from Ford... And then on top of that I'd probably charge $120 for labor/shipping. In the end it's not worth it.

Are most of you mounting your BOV on the intercooler itself or on new charge pipes.
