Took the fiesta for its first drive in 2025. Poor car was feeling neglected. Replaced the worn out mountune RMM with a CP-E and removed the coolerworx. Went back to the mountune short shifter and stock shifter assy that a forum member modified to reduce throw, similar to how the boomba shifter works. Waiting for a nice tall knob from Lathewerks since I tossed every stock fitting knob I had, then can get the car through its annual inspection before S280 install. Picked up a thermal exhaust to replace the GReddy that I’ll put on at the same time, hoping it’ll be quieter. Also decided I hate the gauge pod taking up my air vent because it renders the vent almost useless. Dizzy’s ethanol content gauge utilizes the same Continental sensor as the Innovate gauge, so grabbed one of Jason’s kits minus the sensor so I can get my vent back.

Shout out to @Fusion Works who’s machining some adapters for the S280 to run the stock coolant hard lines.

Unrelated, but I was amazed by this all original, one owner, never restored 40k mile GT500KR I saw at the beach.

Nice find, that's one clean looking original car.

Got lifetime tuning on a 4th of July deal so tuning the 2860 on both 93 and E85. Here’s base map 93. Fast AF lol.

With those #s, Mexico streets better be warned lol

What #s are you roughly expecting once all is said and done on each map?

So slow but it’s funny that this is about the same power it had when stock.

93 should be just shy of 300whp and E85 I asked tuner to cap it at 320whp. Technically could push it close to 400whp but I’m not going to do that on a stock bottom end or with 215 wide tires.

First revision on 93. Right around 23 psi @ 40% WGDC
should a tuned stock turbo car be pushing 100% WGDC to get 20psi in 3rd? just trying to speculate WHY my car feels like garbage all the time. already pressure and smoke tested charge system, no leaks. its either waste gate, boost solenoid, or turbo creating all the problems.

I've been have low boost issues too, I was honestly attributing it to high intake temps we have here in AZ cause I cant find a leak. I'm on dizzy stg2 91, but at 82% duty I'm only getting 20-21psi

my car does it through even the coldest times of winter, too. sluggish, rapid fluctuation of boost, low boost. car acts like it does boost by gear too. lol. thinking WG is bad

Sounds like wastegate or boost control solenoid. I’d check the solenoid before the wastegate - they’re known to malfunction and have the needle valve stick.

Would that throw any codes though? My car hasn't thrown a code since my low side fuel pressure sensor went out.

solenoid got here today & i will post in a separate thread how it went & if it changed anything. hoping i don't have to get it from up top by removing the crossover pipe and cowl + cowl support, but we will see

It’s way easier to access from underneath. Unless you have a lift, it’ll take you longer to jack the car up than to swap the solenoid. Just don’t install it backwards lol.

yeah, i took a peek at the sluggyjunx manual and it looks VERY easy to access from underneath the car. i feel like it's not going to fix my boost problem, but we will see!

Running a catted downpipe, but still throwing a check engine light. Threw a defouler on the downstream O2 sensor today while I was under there changing the oil with Liquimoly 5W-30. First time running it, will send to blackstone when it’s time to change it again next year. Snagged a catless downpipe since I have to run a defouler anyways. Sending it for a ceramic coating then will install it when it’s s280 time.

Fingers crossed! It very well could fix it. If it’s the wastegate, that’s a little harder to swap but not by a lot. While you’re under there swapping the solenoid, if you have a good regulator you can pump some compressed air into the silicone line that leads to the wastegate. See if it moves with lower than normal pressure. I think stock is 7 psi but wouldn’t swear to it.

if it's not the solenoid, i'm replacing the turbo since my car has 174k on it. due for a refresh for certain.
