How bad was this for my ST?

I was driving at 40 mph and a dog walked across the road. There was nobody behind me so I slammed on the brakes but forgot about holding the clutch so my car stalled really really hard.

It seems fine but could I have caused any serious damage?

I wouldnt worry about it, stalling isn't going to hurt your car.

No it will not damage your car...how many people do you think remember to depress the clutch pedal and the brake when doing and emergency maneuver? Not very many....it kills the car so that it won't keep moving if your in gear when or if you get hit or somone else hits you.Dony worry about it....you will be ok![like]

Yep wont hurt anything. After years (25+) of driving stick you learn how to bump into neutral and/or downshift, of clutch depression. To me the opposite is true. I drive so much with the manual that when I drive the automatics I can sometimes hit the emergency brakes thinking its the clutch... LOL
