I've seen the ad on IG where they dry a car but they wanted $160. I found one on Amazon for $60. It'll move large pools of water but struggles with the smaller droplets and it wasn't able to clear out the hex grill like my regular leaf blower. The silicon squeegee I have works much better on the bottle panels. The one I bought is from YUQUESEN, link below if anyone is interested.

I've got a Bauer 20v blower from Harbor Freight. I mostly use it to blow the garage out and keep the driveway cleared off, it doesn't do a good job at moving leaves around the yard lol but does ok blowing water out of the grille and rear valance.

Coincidentally, I just got that same YUQUESEN model delivered from Amazon last week; I tired of my larger Black & Decker corded blower, especially that long $#!%! extension cord I had to connect it to. Haven't used the new one on the grill yet so I can't give an opinion on that, but it's small, light, and powerful and comes w/ a couple of different nozzles and two batteries. Works well clearing leaves, etc., off the garage floor and I've used it to clear out the leaves/debris in my flower beds. Much easier to get it into tight places than standard size blowers. It's kind of loud so I use ear protective plugs (that I used on the B & D as well). Sixty bucks is a good price.

It is definitely useful as a leaf blower as I won't need 3 extension chords to get the whole driveway. I tried it on the grill at the last car wash, but it didn't seem to work so well. Maybe it needs a smaller nozzle to really focus the air into the grill.

Been drying my car with one of these for years.

it's okay, not perfect but certainly better than having to dick around with any sort of towel.

A large part of why I DO NOT and WILL NOT use a leaf blower is because the air is unfiltered. If there are dust particles in the air you're driving them into the finish of the car.

I've tried an Adams Air Cannon Jr. but for me, by the time I get all the tiny droplets out of the crevices of one section of the car, the more remote sections have already dried and spotted.

Others obviously have had greater success with lesser equipment.

I don't wash my car any more. I go to new car wash and for $39 a month I can go every day! With my car being outside 24/7/365, it gets covered in dust from passing traffic. Paint is still good as the first day I bought it!

I drive to dry. It's the only way to begin to get enough air for parts of the car we never see.
HOWEVER, the blower is much better for the surfaces we can see. The coatings from the wash fluids can be cured prior to beginning the drive.

For me, washing the car(s) is a kind of therapy. I too, as above, don't have a garage for the FiST. It sits outside at all times.
Same here.

But I must wait for heavy rain in order to wash it since there is no water outlet I can use and a hose cannot be run from inside my apartment.
I then rinse off the suds by dumping Lowes bucketfuls of water over it and use multiple large gallon dish soap squeeze bottles filled with clean water to get the crevices, wheels, and grill/valence.

I am looking into the best/most affordable/usably powerful (i.e.; it can be less than 1500 PSI) lithium powered pressure washer which can be fed from a bucket and does NOT require a garden hose hookup in order to pre-rinse some of the effing destructive salt soup off of the car, before I even consider washing it in the rain.

Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations for those?
