sonoma’s the best. Laguna seca I kinda get the sense its more suited to higher powered cars with all the inclines and straights.

hoping to do thunderhill but its a real trek. heard streets of willow got re-done so hoping to go back.

on grid is a good deal!
SlipAngle is run by guys I’ve instructed with for nearly a decade. We were all Bimmer owners when I was still competing in Bimmer Challenge, but they are running M2s & M3s now. Next event is Nov 23 @ Streets CCW, which will provide a good chance to reset the FiST lap record CCW which is a 1:25.xx, set by a TT4 racecar.

I'll definitely check that out. 1.25 is very fast. I may have gotten a 1.31 CW on that track and could not go faster. went to streets for maybe 3-4 events. I'm going to try to get an instructor to get me pointers next time around.

Sub25s are quick in a street car, but not for a logbooked racecar. I run high 26s in my stock turbo daily driven FiST both directions & I still can’t get the car turn how I would like (need x9 up front). If you have in car video and/or lap timer data (solo2, catalyst, etc) those are great tools for identifying areas to improve on. If you don’t have them, definitely look into getting them. Video/data never lies.

I’ve been a certified MSF instructor since 2017. If ya need pointers, I can also assist with that.

Ah so sorry totally missed your post there! Pardon later reply.
Will definitely check with your run group. you're right about the monitoring devices and will definitely look into that. are there some smartphone apps that work well?
