Hey everyone, I haven't been on here in a while. However, I am excited to say I am expecting a baby later this year. Currently I own my mustang and a pontiac solstice. Obviously, one of those two has to go and I need a 4 door car. I tried to do a quick google search but I was curious on everyone's real world experience with a car seat in the back of the fiesta.
Is it doable? or is it going to restrict front passenger space a lot?
Do you find you still have sufficient space for a stroller in the back or other baby items?
or am I just completely in over my head about having a new born in a fiesta st?

I think this would be the perfect excuse for me to get back into a fiesta. not really interested in a base fiesta, but I think a fiesta ST would be a really fun dad mobile. Curious on everyones thoughts and experience.

First and foremost, congrats! Get ready for the most difficult, stressful, infuriating, joyful, and rewarding moments you’ve ever had. Everything else pales in comparison.

Neither of my very young children have ever ridden in the fiesta for more than a lap around the neighborhood in “daddy’s loud car” as they call it. It’s extremely safe for its size, but it’s still a 2700 lbs vehicle on a road full of 5000+ lb land yachts. I had the fiesta and a mustang when our first was born. Sold the mustang to buy a family vehicle just before she joined the world. No regrets. I’m certain many will disagree, but p = m x v isn’t an equation I want to be on the losing side of.

Also I did extensive research on baby seats and the ones I purchased, which had the highest crash test ratings of any on the market at the time, simply do not fit in the fiesta unless the driver or passenger seat is all the way forward. They barely fit in my Escalade ESV lol

Congrats! I’ve got two boys, and the FiST has been fine for most things. For a rear facing kids seat, you need to move the front passenger seat virtually all the way up. So, one kid, find. Two, not good. Or one and a passenger, also no good.

congrats again!

for the amount of time the kid will be in a rearward facing child seat, you'll be fine. Tri-pedaler is not lying about the passenger front though. If you are doing dad-baby work, its fine. a family car it is not until they are in forward facing seats. i had two forward facing seats and had no issues. my kids were out of rear facing ones pretty quick all things considered. I want to say my son (who is tall) was out of the rear facing seat at 6 weeks. he was already hanging his feet off, so it was time to turn him around. the Recaro rear facing seat fits great. hope it works out for you.

It's a tiny car, and they did that by giving it a tiny back seat.
Great driver's car. Not a great baby hauler.
Also great when you flip the seats down. There's room for all the groceries.

There are much smaller vehicles like the Festiva, Geo Metro, Smart Car, etcetera.
Four door Fiesta is a smaller vehicle but certainly not "tiny" as compared to other two door models.
There is a lot you can haul with the four door Fiesta. I just put the cart full of groceries in the hatch and rear seat; sometimes front; don't bother folding them down.
