Stage 1 setup ordered (RMM/AP/Filter) and the accelerator pedal spacer. Now it's time to eat cup of soup for a week or two. Then it's on to Vogtland Springs and a Short Shifter.
You will like stage 1 and I would recommend the vogtland springs, got mine and love them!

Just got the Stage1 kit in yesterday. I'm waiting until 1k mi and an oil change to load up the access port. Am going to try and find a place to install my rear motor mount today since I don't have any tools/lift/jack at the house. Vogtland Springs are going to be ordered this week after pay day. Can't wait to drop the car a bit.

My 2015 FiST has 250 miles on it and I loaded the Cobb stage one 93 octane map yesterday and installing the high flow filter. I will stay away from the red line during the first 1000 miles, but couldn’t wait to try the AP out. I feel a significant change in performance particularly in 1st, 2nd & 3rd and that’s in commuter traffic in the DC area. I also got the rear motor mount but that will have to wait till I get time to install it.

Awesome! I heard that 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pushed your ass in the seat a bit with the stage 1 map. I just got my stage1 kit yesterday. I'm waiting a week or two until I hit 1K mi and do my first oil change then going to install the RMM, Filter, and load the 93 Octane map as well. Thank goodness we have decent fuel in Houston.

I've got concerns with the Tuner. Does it or does it not leave a fingerprint ( flash counter) every time you install or remove?
If so regardless of the device being out of the car and the factory flash being flashed back into the ECO the evidence is still there. So if there is an issue even if the tuner/or tune is not installed at the time they can and will deny any powertrain claim on the fact that it has non approved flashes showing on the counter.
Now a question on top of that.. Do dealers generally check that on a used car before putting it back up for sale with warranty if it has been flashed before?

Mine being used I'm wondering if I were to get a tuner/tune if something were to happen could/would I have wiggle room as if the dealers do not check that as a standard checkpoint during service I could say that it had not been tuned while in my possession.. unless the flash counter has a time/date stamp on them.

I've got 7 years 100k mile extended Ford warranty on mine.. that is an awful long time for no tune..

I don't know if they can tell that the ecm has been reflashed. If I have to take the car in I plan on reversing the stage 1 changes and take my chances. To me performace change with stage 1 / 93 octane is worth it.

I just spent 15k rebuilding just the short block in my 13 SS Camaro because CompCams didn't harden a cam properly. ( and they admitted the flaw) I got a new cam from them which I would never use again.. and a bill for 15k to replace my shortblock since the metal from the cam killed everything even the block itself.
So yeh I'm a tad cautious on my daily.

Wow, that's a shame. I can see why you'd be so cautious. I think I read here somewhere a longblock for the FiST is only about 3k. Someone chime in if I'm wrong. CompCams didn't make good or help you pay for the repairs, just a new cam?? What the hell is that going to do for you. Bullshit.

One of my fellow techs was a 15-year Ford tech before switching to Chrysler a few months ago, so I asked him this question. He said that to his knowledge the answer is no, they can't tell. Another parts employee was a tech at ford up until about a year ago, and gave the same answer. This isn't a definite answer, but it is what two master-certified ford techs have told me.

Yeh CompCams said they let a "small batch" of cams get out into the wild that never went through the hardening process. so yeh the LSx community been dealing with some failures and prematurely worn cams.

and yeh they said they cant help other than replacing their part.

Here are the pics of the Camaros new 418 Stroker. even if this is a Fiesta ST site you cant turn down engine porn ;)

Thanks Bryan,
I really want this tuner for the performance as well as the economy benefits as well as the many other features. The Mountune at 900 bucks for 1 tune and being locked down just does not seem worth it.

Agreed! I'm also cautious as I had a WRX that was built, and blew out the cylinder #4 ring lands. Now I don't know if you know anything about the WRX and STI, but they are known for that problem, stock or not. Especially from 08-14. I was left with a hefty bill that also has me cautious with the FiST. So we both have a similar story lol.

Yeah no joke. I personally haven't seen that failure as much, but it definitely persists.
Sorry for getting the thread sidetracked though! I'm planning on picking up an intercooler along with some other things to run stage 2. May not go stage 3 until my warranty is up.
