Coming back to this, I think that the biggest improvements to overall performance are lighter wheels. Google "Fast Fords lighter wheels" - they took off over 4 seconds on a 1:28 lap with nothing more than a wheel change. I dropped close to 8# a wheel when I went to the 6ULs and it totally transformed the car. You can probably find a used set of 17x8 Pro Race or 17x7-7.5 OZs and run the stock tires until they're done.

Load stage 3 (works fine with regular down pipe, ran it like that for a year no problem)
Front sway bar
Torision bar
Strut tower brace
Race spec inserts and spring pads if you have money left over

Next 1500, exhaust/ DP and switft springs

1500 after that. Wheels and tires.

whoosh hot side j-pipe
itg drop in filter
NGK 6510 pre-gapped

we can supply this set up for under $1000 which will support the majority of the power the stock turbo can make
use the rest of your $1500 for a custom tune after the mods are installed
also swap out the factory fill with some Amsoil 5W30 signature series and filter

Thermal R& D....its like $700 but one of the best exhausts out there....buy once ....cry once....as another member has said a couple times before....he is totally right. Or just roll the stock exhaust for a while...a Tune can change things up some for burbles and pops....

For the most power
Intercooler, radiator and AP with custom E30 tune.

For the most grip
ST X coilovers, and re71r tires

For the most giggles/fun
Turbosmart BOV for noise, Boomba complete shift kit for feel, pedal spacer for toe heal shifts, spend the remaining $1000 on fuel for mountain/canyon drives, or an autocross.
