The camber bolts may be your only salvation.
I see that you are using wider than stoke wheels and tires.
The offset of the wheels may also be a factor.

Installed the mountune Springs and getting some rubbing on the fronts. Tire is grazing the liner just inside the lip. Setup is 215/40/17 on TD 17x7.5 et45. Happens on sharp hits like pot holes and speed bumps. Drivers side more often. Also driver side sitting 1/4 inch lower for some reason.

I heard 215 tires were rubbing for some people on stock wheels when lowered. So on 7.5 wheels that doesn't really surprise me. Hope you get it all figured out though!

I wonder if they will still rub with a 42 offset. I really like the way the 215s look.

It depends on the brand of tire really. For some brands, not a lot of sidewall difference, just a little more width.

Probably a dumb question, but how do 215 look? Because I really like the way a 205/45 looks on our cars, stock set up. I like the way it fills the wheel gap. What exactly does the 215/40 tire look like?

I'm running 17x7.5 wheels with the stock 205's. It looks to have room for 215's but I won't really know til I get them on in the future. I have no rubbing issues right now being lowered.

Oh okay. I would like to run wider tires next year but always scared about rubbing.

I just had to reset the ride height on my car as it was too low.
It is now at 21.5 inches.
I also will be test fitting 205/40/17 and 215/40/17 for my next tire selections in about 5k miles.

Then why do you need to test fit 205/40 if you're already running that?

Also stock ride height makes a difference as well.

In my case 42 offset would make matters worse with the lowered height.
My tires need to come in just a tad. Which I hope to sort out when my camber bolts arrive. Before lowering the car, I did have success running these 215's on 8 inch et 35 and 7 inch et 42 and the 7.5 inch et 45.
