How did you guys prime the turbo. Did you follow turbo technics instructions of priming it with the drain line off until 1/2 point comes out?
Also, I forgot to order the turbo-downpipe fire ring, thing I'll be ok or should i wait?
No i just pushed the gas and clutch in and primed it for 30 seconds letting out of the clutch a couple of times. You will be fine they are steel mine was in perfect condition when I removed it.

Yeah you can call the local Ford dealer too just get the parts number they are actually ussually cheaper for those things too.

Did you use the stock location blow off or did you cap the adapter supplied with the kit? If I use a block off plate should I still connect the adapter to both sides?

Personally, I would order the fire ring to be safe. I agree with others when they say it should be fine but the part is less than $20. It could be a 2-3 hour job depending on how fast and familiar you are with the car. Downpipe only took me 3 hours and that was with a lunch break, I work pretty fast but I wouldn't want to do it over again

I could swear I paid like 7 bucks for the turbo to DP fire ring. 3 hrs for the dp? Shit, I did it over 4 days in the evening that must have worked out to 9 hrs. I did take my time and liquid wrench everything and did the cp-e exhaust at the same time. I cant imagine the exhaust was 6 hrs of that lol. You bad ass my friend.

I've swapped intakes so many times. I can have the entire intake, battery tray and cowl off in 15 minutes tops, that includes cracking a beer, jacking the car and putting some music on lol (bluetooth speakers are a must in the garage). Hardest part is finding the right orientation to get the stock dp out when you have less than 1mm of clearance on each side and getting the wipers off. The gasket is 18.50 to my door through whoosh. About 3 business days. Could probably save some bucks by going local, I ordered a bunch of things at one time so I had it ready to go for the install.

I think on 93 you can definitely push it a bit further. Di cars like to run a bit leaner.

I think we were at 11.71:1 which is pretty lean. Experienced a tiny bit of knock up top, and I don't really want to push it that far. I probably could get another 15hp out of it, but I'd rather not risk it and just wait for the aux fuel. Car is fun right now :)

Yes you still need to plug it in to both sides. It functions exactly the same way a stock compressor housing does. Block it off and use your other blow off valve normally.

I re used mine, but my car only has 7000 miles on it lol. I think I've gotten it down to about an hour and a half, assuming the bolts don't snap off in the turbo. You can remove it from the top without much hassle, its how the FSM says to remove it as well.

11.71 is not really lean for a di or really even a pi car.

I think that depends on how hard you want to push it, is the extra hp worth the risk. Even when I was stock turbo I don't think I saw much leaner than that. I'm not complaining by any means, I'm very happy with the way it is now.

We're still in the safe zone, not really trying to explore outside of it. I am officially out of fuel on 93.

So this is the capability of the S280 on 93, without aux everyone! 270whp 300ftlb tq
Everything I've read says the car shouldn't be running out of fuel on 91/93 until 320 (Stratified) and 315-325 (Whoosh) To see 'only' 270 is a bit disappointing, is it not?

I don't have this setup, but am aiming to in the Spring. 270 would be a bit lower than I would like, honestly. Hoping to not have to go single port, but will to achieve the 'safe' 300 on 93 goal that I would like.

That's funny, my gtx3076 MS3 and 2 other locals MS3's that also had a 3076 and a 2876 all got stuck at 280whp on 93. Freektune blamed it on the gas, though other claimed he was copy pasting tunes. That was incredibly underwhelming, after dropping over $1500 on turbos, BUT E30 got us all between 330-400whp depending on motor health.

I am considering this turbo. I want to make over 300. Can some one explain the aux fuel? I am assuming if you have it you can run more boost? Or how will it aid to making more hp on same boost level over just stock injectors?

I would use the search bar homie, read about aux fuel on stratifieds site. Too much to get into on a forum post, do some reading.

Adam says 285-295 max on e30 or 91 but those 320 numbers are with race gas dude. Just save for a single port. Run 270-280 wheel safely as your simple gas tune. Also, 91 sucks in my state of CA. So take that into account. Try not to get to caught up on the specific number of one dyno

I see.

I guess the s280 just has a higher overhead with the single port and what-have-you. More info to consider...
