That's not too bad for the top of the line product. Def worth it!

I ordered my Ksports August 7th and have still not received them. I think it's because they're made in China and I'd rather give my money to American made companies. Ksport is here in Arizona about 15 min away from me. But my mechanic said the coils are here but waiting in a container so that means they came from China. Ewww! LoL

I thought I was supporting a business that was making products in the USA and it turns out I'm not. That was one of the reasons I ordered a bit lower end and because my mechanic said he was going to get me a deal on them. Not his fault hes solid. But damn I'm paying the price. I might just order the FA500's and not even install the Ksports. I'm so in the middle because theoretically they should be here any minute. To have $1k on the Ksports floating and then another $1.5K on the FA's limits me to do anything else on the car for at least 1 month. And as we all know that sucks haha

It'll be 11 weeks I've been waiting tomorrow. Should've been 3, Ugh! (OK Venting over, thanks all! LoL)

Also wanted to put ISC in the running. I bought them since they are local (ish) to me and they've been great. I've always had springs/struts on previous cars and this is my first set of coilovers.

I think Ron (Whoosh) has said the ICS are much better than the Ksports. How do you like them as far as stiffness?

I like them - no doubt are they a bit harsh on the street, but not unbearable. It's one of the few things I did NOT buy from Whoosh, but reached out to ISC and got a partial sponsorship since I'm local. I talked to the about my needs and went with the "sport" setup - not as soft as street but not as harsh as "race". I also went with the upgraded Triple S springs. My car is gutted as well. Lots of different things about my setup than yours. But super happy with the build quality and performance. I'm not sure if they are 100% made in the US though, I think some parts do come from overseas. They were delivered in under 2 weeks from ordering but that was last Fall. If I had to do it all over again, I might reach out to Fortune Auto and talk about custom 510s but I realize that isn't in everyone's budget. I've never heard anything bad about FA 500s so I don't think you'd be disappointed.

This was a bitch. The hose was cooked onto the snap ring and the kazoo.

These channellock 426’s were short enough to get the ring open. Nothing else I had fit. I pried the sound box off it’s mount and twisted it so the nozzle faced the sky to get access to the snap-ring tabs. I had to use a screwdriver to break seal that was melted on.

Mine was the same way. Then I dropped the needle nose pliers and they went into the fan shroud. The more I fidgeted to get them out, the further down they went.

What should have been an easy and straightforward process was one of the more frustrating I've done.

Glad you got it done!

I think I read a review on whooshes website that just said to “pull like you got a pair”. That definitely wouldn’t have worked here. The “glue” was making snapping sounds as I pried the hose off the sound box. If I had just tried to yank I would have broken something.

Like a lot of other Fiesta STs, my car recently started making the dreaded clicking sound from underneath the dashboard. So, today I replaced the left (driver’s side) blend door actuator. (Motorcraft part number YH-1895.) A simple job but made a bit more difficult by the actuator’s awkward location. Because I had some difficulty even seeing it, I used my phone to take some pictures of the original part before I removed it. The pictures helped guide me in getting the positioning right when installing the new one. Thanks to everybody who had previously posted tips on how to perform this repair. You sure made it a lot easier for me!

Kinda Cheesy but I love them! Getting ready to try to MEGATRON my FiST out. Def grabbing the rear diffuser on Whoosh site to help make it look meaner. Also going to add a front splitter as well.

Love the Magnetic color for an EVIL FiST!

Only concern is the rear diffuser may not work with Eibach Sway Bars. If anyone knows if it will fit please let me know.

The Valve Stem Caps to match should be here tomo!

Nice! Is there an upgraded master cylinder available for our FiSTs? When I upgraded the clutch on my Acura, the stock cylinder couldn't handle it even though the clutch was only slightly stiffer.
It's the same weight of the DMF setup. Except the clutch disc is sprung and the flywheel is a SMF. Vs. DMF with and unsprung OEM clutch disc.

There is no such thing as "upgraded hydraulics". Its from a cartoon version of "Hotrod Magazine".

Bore size makes a difference. A smaller bore will increase line pressure, which increases clamping force; the tradeoff is longer pedal travel.

I hated them because they were nowhere near as good as the OEM Bridgestone Potenza's the car came with. I bought them because Tire Rack had them for less than $100 a piece back in 2018 and people raved about them. Within the 1st 5 min of driving them I noticed several things.

1. The turn-in was nowhere (and I mean nowhere) near as sharp as the BS's.
2. The grip was nowhere (and I mean nowhere) near as grippy as the BS's.
3. They felt very squishy compared to the OEM BS's When turning left and right quickly (like a chicane) they were a bit sloppy.
4. The stopping power was also the same result as 1 and 2.

Just overall they we not even close to the OEM. And that was coming from bald RE0505's (OEM) I've now got a set of Falken Azenis 660's waiting for a coilover install and I'm hoping they are on par or better than the Bridgestones. We'll see in the coming weeks.
Maybe something was off; I found these tires to be far superior to the OEM in almost every way. I ask a lot of my tires especially in turns. It’s also the way your car is set up that can compliment a tire.

Not arguing about physics, pointing out what car parts are actually made. You can shave the cylinder head and bore, and get oversize bearings and rings, and make higher compression, but a hydraulic cylinder is bore-specific, not honed out - thrown out.

Haven’t done anything but constantly going back and forth on putting my winter wheels on this weekend. Always a depressing time knowing fun time is mostly over with the car for another few months. Also the shame of knowing my Mountune rad, Whoosh V3 FMIC, and Milltek DP never managed to get installed all summer. At least I have awesome winter wheels now.🙂
