Vacuum tube attached to a vacuum cleaner ?
No it was hard to get the camera and another tool in through the spark plug hole, so I used a piece of clay bar, like for detailing, pressed on to the endoscope and fished around... For moment I thought I was going to need to pop the head lol

Went out to my first event for the season, and pretty much my first autocross/shakedown in a year.

I had transmission problems though, 2nd gear kept popping out on the hard left turn and back stretch when I'd bounce the limiter (Getting to 7,700 rpm now is great for extending the mph). Adjusting the linkage didn't fix it, but might be caused by the old short shifter in there. Going to remove it since it might not like so much power and movement. Other than that had a great time finished 27th of 60 drivers raw time, even with the problem. Car could hold the power down and felt extremely responsive with the new tires. If I fix this problem I should be back in top 15 drivers, maybe even top 10. If someone thinks it's something else let me know. Holding this much power and trying to turn with the diff with one hand was brutal and slowed me down a lot.

We NEVER have had wide open courses like that around here! [:(][:(!]

If we did, I would think about getting back into it, as it would make the $75 entry fees worth it at that point (instead of the pure 'Miata'/S2000 set courses we always get/have gotten in the past).

I used to live maybe 10 minutes from here when they still did autocross here. This is the old helicopter landing area when Fort Wolters still existed in Mineral Wells, Tx, at one time Fort Wolters was one of if not the largest Army helo training facility in the world. Spent a lot of time growing up (90s/early 2ks) driving around out here for fun. As far as I know the people who own it now closed it down for that use YEARS ago and have it gated off. No more play time. It's about 1400 ft x 1500ft or about 2.1 million square feet, no light posts or other obstacles.

Purchased a Hi Flo hot side intercooler pipe (black wrinkle finish) from whoosh. I need a reason to get under my car and check on things.
You're gonna love the hot side, you get a much better whistle especially if paired with an open intake🥰🥰

Little update, I took the short shifter out and then noticed that my battery tray was a bit wobbly. Pushed on it and I think I broke the mounting bolt on it during the last event. I can pull the battery tray forward and down enough that it could nudge the short shifter. Which that direction moves from 2nd to neutral, so going to pull that out and might have to remount the darn thing in some way.

Isn't there 3 bolts for the tray? Or do you have an aftermarket tray?
