interested in the crash bar only for the potential radiator cooling aspect, as I already have an intercooler and happy with it. So.... what compromises need to be made if any for a OEM to DHM crash bar swap? All the plastics can still stay on?

Logs with new DHM Intercooler

HIGH BOOST!! custom dhm tune. 3rd gear pull only got 4deg above intake air temp

http://datazap.me/u/drag4life723/high-boost-dhm-intercooler?log=0&data=2-3-5-6

Cobb OTS stg3 tune
40mph - 112mph only 25deg above ambient and 16deg above intake air temp

http://datazap.me/u/drag4life723/cobb-stg3-ots-tune-dhm-intercooler?log=0&data=3-4-5-9-12-15

Cobb OTS Stg3 Tune
115mph - 127mph 6th gear high load pull 30deg above ambient and 23deg above intake air temp

http://datazap.me/u/drag4life723/cobb-stg3-ots-tune-dhm-intercooler-2?log=0&data=1-3-4-5-8-12-15

Cobb OTS Stg3 tune
75mph to 100mph decel to 75mph back to 90mph 13deg above ambient and 8 above intake air (at largest gap you can see were charge temps drop below intake air temps)

http://datazap.me/u/drag4life723/cobb-stg3-ots-tune-dhm-intercooler-3?log=0&data=1-3-4-5-8-12-15

Here is some good info with the new intercooler. You can see were the charge air temps are blow what is going into the turbo plenty of time. At the very most i have only seen 30deg about ambient and 23deg above intake. When you see the logs on the stock intercooler you will really get an ideal of how much this is helping cooling.

Also take a note of how fast the turbo is responding to throttle and how fast it builds boost. No lose in spool or response!

This is with the DHM Crash Bar and stock grill, correct? Are you going to try a sanded grill and post up results?

can't wait to see how all that translates in the Florida heat
I had a buddy do some logging in fl to compare relationship between intake, ambient, and charge air with another brands intercooler and looking over that data I know ours will really shine in those higher temps!

So any idea on when these will be shipping out then?
I wasn't happy with the fitment of the end tanks so a small angle change had to be made which means I have to have plates waterjeted over again. The bars are done! All the hardware and clamps are in stock! And the camera is ready to roll for the instructional video. Once I get alum back from Waterjet then weld and ready to ship!!! Monday everything should be done! I will update asap! Sorry for the delay but a product that is perfect is what we strive for and would not ship anything less

Yup!!

Radiator i had zero difference in engine coolant temp. Only plastics that get left off is the small u shape ones that go around the crash bar, the small long once that goes between the crash bar and stock intercooler, and the brackets for the stock intercooler. Nothing needs modified, cut, changed, or compromised. This kit will install and go back to stock very smooth.

just to clarify... so those that already have an aftermarket intercooler that uses the factory brackets won't be able to swap in a DHM crash bar without making some provisions to mount their intercooler?

lets simplify the question, can someone just swap out the OEM crash bar for a DHM crash bar and keep the stock OEM intercooler?
