why is it gross? Car is a lot faster stock with the auto. modded the auto takes power pretty much as well as manual. the auto trans isnt going to overheat on the track and you can get an aftermaket trans cooler if thats your thing.

there’s nothing objectively worse with the auto. getting stick is no more than a subjective preference. and maybe the typical cool thing to say on forums.

Oh I completely agree, in fact most modern automatic boxes like the 8hp can do some crazy stuff... That being said autos are still gross

weary is probably more accurate than ‘old’ if its something you never really enjoyed doing and find a chore, it gets old. sorta like LA traffic. wow has it gotten bad in the past 3-4 years.
I find that the traffic around my hood is a lot less than it used to be thanks to ICE doing their job!

You can't be too old to drive a manual! I'm 77 and prefer a manual over an auto any day!

Well, I think some of those folks have moved here and miss it so much that they've started to manufacture traffic jambs by blocking off lanes and re-patterning lights to make everyone park at each one. Absolutely bonkers. People still find ways to wreck doing the same things so that solved nothing. Those of us who ride motorcycles have started to filter (and a few even lane split) as a result of the changes these last few years.

What is a traffic 'jamb'? https://www.patrickkphillips.com/grammar/jam-or-jamb-dont-get-in-a-sticky-situation/

I warned him based on my experience that the car might be a better fit for him since he's wider than me and 6' tall. He's thinking about going for the Premium+ with 8-way driver's seat adjustment for his daily commute in heavy traffic, but I'm pushing him to test drive a GRC first before making any decisions.
exactly the same with my dad. its like you took what i said and attached a bachelors degree in writing to it. would he get the automatic as well, or is there no point in that? i would just assume due to traffic it makes more sense to have an automatic, plus you get the true functionality of adaptive cruise control working from 0mph, rather than 20mph+ in the manual
