When trying to remove my exhaust on my fiest st I stripped the nut on one side of the down pipe. Has anyone had experience with that and know what to do?

If you are talking about the two bolts that connect the flanges at the DP and exhaust I have. If so, I just used angle grinder to trim bolts off and a 2 jaw puller to push the bolt out the back side. Went and got new bolts washers and nuts. If it's the side on the downpipe and turbo someone else may have to chime in. The pic is the puller I used. Screenshot_20210410-232435_Chrome.jpg

It's the bottom side as you mentioned. I'll have to try that!

I had a similar issue recently while removing my exhaust. Removing the nuts from the downpipe studs one of the nuts deformed and cross threaded the end of the stud. New nut would not thread on.
Had to dremel away some of the damaged threads, then chased it with a die to clean up the threads.

A throw away kit like this is what I used:
https://www.harborfreight.com/hand-...steel-metric-tap-and-die-set-40-pc-62832.html

Had to cut about 1 1/2" off each end of the die handles so it would fit up in the exhaust tunnel. They are m10 1.5 studs.
Replacement nuts part "W703662 S403"

Good luck.
