One of my favorite mods, also. Torque steer was practically eliminated.
But trying to get the bolts torqued to speck without a lift wasn’t all that fun.
Amen!

Had mine on cribbing and it was a pain in the shoulder!

How would this compare to the rear sway bar in terms of handling difference? I’ve been thinking of getting the whiteline 22mm rear sway bar

Get the front 2- point. Then decide if you wanna do the rear sway bar. I felt the biggest improvement with the 2-point brace... They make them with more connecting points that just two also*

Installed the new Mountune crossover. Nice oem+ look. Will have some full pics later after the car gets reassembled. Also, cleaned my air filter but found a bunch of gunk in the pleats after multiple washes. Going back to paper to avoid the headache. View attachment 37689

What happened to it? Btw can I still use rhino ramps with this on? Never thought of that lol.
I’m super low and in the city. It’s been through hell. I think the raised manhole was the final blow. I was able to use ramps on my previous setup on swift springs so I wouldn’t worry. The front bumper is more of a hinderance than the bar.

Decided I needed a shift boot for the coolerworx shifter. I didn’t want to drop anything in there, kinda sad to cover it up and it’s a little gaudy. Ok a lot gaudy. I wish it didn’t have the patches. Had to trim the bracket to clear the coolerworx, but i think it turned out good. Racecar right?

I”ve seen those before but i wanted a fabric shift boot. This comes with a metal trim ring that bolts down and then the boot snaps on over it, not sure how the other ones work. I also had made the hole larger to make it easier to remove with the coolerworx, so this covers it good. I can get another trim piece if i get tired of it. Which i often do with things.

After getting blasted with 30 inches of snow in Northern NJ this past week I just have to say how I was reminded that with snow tires, this car is an absolute riot to drive in the snow. No issues getting stuck or even a hint of struggling up any of the hills I live on. Lightweight, good tires, short gearing, and enough torque to pull you out of any mess.

After getting blasted with 30 inches of snow in Northern NJ this past week I just have to say how I was reminded that with snow tires, this car is an absolute riot to drive in the snow. No issues getting stuck or even a hint of struggling up any of the hills I live on. Lightweight, good tires, short gearing, and enough torque to pull you out of any mess.
It's true. Unfortunately I've yet to drive in the snow this winter. The roads haven't had any accumulation. I've never seen a winter this averse to being winter.

A couple of neighbors couldn't get up the hill. Went up without even breaking traction.

Now we literally have a thick bed of road salt on this hill... can't drive around it. 😖 It's so thick the rain hasn't even washed it away. Drive through it and immediately park. Get YEARS shaved off the useful life of the vehicle because a couple of neighbors want to be able to drive around on tires that can't handle the weather.

Got yelled at by a useless county sheriff who thinks that just because i have a flashy car im gonna speed in a snow storm. 125 bucks to get it out and i need to further check over if anything is damaged. I have snow tires and was driving responsibly. At this point im ready to just walk away from anything vehicle related.

Something similar happened to me many years ago about two weeks after I bought the car. Not in snow, but down a dirt road. Driving extremely slow I cut a corner I shouldn't have and it was muddy and deep so I got stuck. Every car that drove by did not offer help, but one jackass thought it would be hilarious to roll by saying I deserved it for "driving like an idiot". Easy to assume I was driving irresponsibly in this car I guess. Had to call a buddy with a truck and that's how I found out the car has no tow hooks.

I try not to drive my ST if the weather is bad because of the damn salt! I know it's going to eat away at this amazing car. Mandatory snow tires for everyone 😂

Made a couple additions, the Wavetrac LSD and Fortune Auto 510 coilovers. Also “while I was in there” sway bar bushings, aluminum steering rack bushings, and Whoosh shifter cable bracket bushings. Okay I didn’t do all of this “today” but rather over the course of a month working on the car whenever I could skip out on parental duties. Lol

The car is transformed, it’s FiST 2.0. The LSD was a pretty big undertaking and more than a few expletives flew out at various times but it was completely worth it. No more on-power understeer, it just grips and grips. Steering rack bushings definitely provide more “fingertip feel” in the wheel and the shifter bracket bushings reduced play in the shifter. I’m still dialing in the 510’s but so far so good, though I really need to hit the track to get a good sense of them.
