Windshield Side Trim

Apart from the driver's seat outboard seat base side trim, the rubber trim on both sides of the windshield are the only things cosmetically that I've found lacking on the new-to-me FiST.
Does replacing these require removing the windshield? No leaks, luckily, just something I've noticed & will eventually bug me enough that I want to replace them.

Need to get the windows tinted & would likely do a windshield tint [clear UV reflective] at the same time. Windshield is in great shape, apart from 1 tiny rock chip on the lower passenger side, so would rather not go through the effort of needing the windshield pulled if I can help it.

No. The garnish on the sides of the windshields is easy to remove if you understand how it's attached. There's another plastic piece below it which has several slots in it. The rubber trim fits into that plastic piece via a piece of plastic it's bonded to with tabs in it. Remove by lifting the bottom flexible rubber curved part, then popping each tab straight up. The top one slides into its slot. Replace by slotting the top one, then working down to secure each tab, then the rubber part at the bottom.

Hoping a few $ here & there and it'll fully show off as nice as it is for 90k miles.

Just did mine. Removed the cowling and trimmed off the cracking rubber at the edge and replaced the two side pieces. Pretty easy job overall and looks much better.

I have a new cowl (mine is falling apart right where it touches the windshield) and both of those new vertical trim pieces sitting in the spare room, waiting.

I just have to find the time and more importantly place to get that job done.

Just looked at my cowl trim & the rubber is cracked a bit. Guess I'll plan on doing all 3. Again, luckily, no leaks
