Got a $7500 quote to replace the engine with a wholly new assembly with a 3 year warranty.

I've been having a ton of misfires this year and it only got worse and worse until Wednesday when it finally came to a head with non-stop misfires the moment I started up. Pretty crushed right now and that's nothing compared to the financial burden I'm about to take on.

That sucks man! I assume you’ve already tried replacing coils and plugs?

Ouch, that hurts! Mine is still good until 125,000. Currently at 100,485 and still going strong! Some people scoffed at the extended warranty, but to me, if anything goes wrong, it's well worth every penny.

Ball's already rolling because time is a major factor, unfortunately.

They actually came in today, ugh

There was coolant in cylinder 3, forgot to mention. The head gasket certainly ate shit and who knows what else went wrong.

I wish my warranty went that high in mileage :(

I had correctly assumed I was no longer covered but I wish I had realized that a while ago. Time to pay.

Sucks, but at least you'll have a fresh motor. If my engine were to go, I'd replace it rather than get another car.

For real. I adore the car but even if I was ready to move on there's not much chance of getting into anything else right now. Not necessarily related to stock but the astronomical interest rates. Just saw something last week about the average car payment in the US passing $700! To hell with that

I got this today to fit into my car somehow 😂 it’s a 12 layer Kevlar reinforced carbon fiber bucket seat. It comes from a Mercedes’ SLR mclaren. The seat has matching part numbers and came from a mclaren factory in the UK or something. Got it from a friend who knows a guy who knows a guy. How nice! Gonna do the seats in white leather or black suede? Thoughts?

You got two of those? Looks awesome. Black all day on the interior. White will never look as clean as the day you install it and therefore will always disappoint.

New slide pins grease and seals. Caliper still drags. I’m pissed.
-Check pad backing plate nubs are seated in "+" on piston
-burp the rubber parts that the pins slide through (mine had air pressure in them before I burped them)
-clean the channel where the pad ears slide (i used a soft wire spinny thing in a drill chuck"

If you havent already anyhow

How many miles, and you are talking about having replaced the bellowed slider pin seals/dust protector boot things, and not the actual piston seals, correct?
