Hello guys,
I am a new fiesta st owner from china, nice to meet you
I have a question about my car's Automotive Instrumentation, Before I purchased this vehicle, I had already had the vehicle inspected by a professional in advance and confirmed that the vehicle's had traveled 92,546 kilometers, but after I received the vehicle and had the ECU read, the mileage display in the gauge magically jumped to 149,000 kilometers, and I'm wondering if this means that there is something fishy with my mileage or if there is something wrong with the gauge that is causing such a problems appear? pls help! I really need a real answer, thank you!

I would get the distance traveled from the ECU and see how it compares to what the odometer is putting out. It might just be a glitchy gauge cluster versus something fishy going on. I would then try to clean the negative terminal on the battery and verify the grounds are in good condition. Leave the battery disconnected for the night.

I removed the symposer in my car and the A/C just stopped working. I even unplugged the battery and it didn't work. I flashed my ECU with a Cobb Accessport and it magically came back. I think these cars are sensitive electronically.

One thing I notice is that if you multiply 92,454 by 1.6, this gets you approximately the difference. This is the conversion from miles to kilometers.
thank's for help ,but the mileage display in the gauge is KM as well

Cobb Accessport is a tool used for flashing tunes to the ECU. I am not sure why it worked for me and I don't know if that's the direction you should go.

I would read the distance traveled from the ECU using a scanner tool and compare to the odometer first. Then check your grounds and negative battery connection, and leave it disconnected for a while.

It's just a potential clue to what might be the issue. Might be a coincidence, but little stuff like that will point you towards the truth. I've seen weirder faults with electronics for sure.

simple conversion error. Nothing fishy.
Airplanes have run out of fuel and crashed due to conversion errors.

WELCOME!

The Cobb Accessport may not work with, or even be available for your car if it is MAF tune based, like all of the Brit/European STs, and many of the rest of world ones as well.

What part of China?

My girlfriend is from a suburb of Lanzhou, in the Gansu Province, even though she is a naturalized U.S. citizen for the last 30 years.

but the mileage display in the gauge both use KM, we nearly never use Mile in china, so that's why i am so confuse about the car
The conversion error didn't necessarily occur with the car. It could've occurred via computer entry. But either way, via car or inventory software, it's no coincidence that the two mileages converge when converted between kilometers and miles. It's a clerical error. You can request that your price be discounted accordingly with the dealer.
