This is literally more than twice what I paid for my injen. Granted I bought mine used, but still!

Even Mountune's without the silicone hose is $329. They decided to drop the price on the hose, left the intake kit sans hose at $299 for a couple of weeks. Then, instead of dropping the price on the full kit, they jacked up the price on the intake kit minus the hose by $30 bucks to justify the hose price drop. Who does that??

Which one gives the best peformance is the real question lol
I would think an intake system which best "isolates" or insulates the filter element from engine heat and also draws its air source from out side of the engine bay...

That's actually not a bad price at all for what it is.

For comparison, the AEM intake for the Evo 10 has the piping, induction hose, airfilter and nice molded box and is around $300

Let's not forget that the most expensive part is the piece of metal and a hose.

Considering that only two on the list are actual CAI's, I think that there's more value/performance with the Cobb.

The intake I'm really curious to see right now is the cp-e. Depending on their price-point I can see it being the best of both worlds-full tubing like the Cobb with an additional fresh intake like the Mountune.

I was hoping for more around the $300 range but I'll still be buying. I've been saving up for months now anyway, so no real difference.

I second that, nice work. That plastic is crap to cut, what did you use?.
You will have to show use a pic with the bumper installed.
Cut fog light covers with a plastic wheel on a dreme from the back sidel, trimmed rough edges with sharp knife. ABS plastic used hole saw attachment w/electric drill. Just go slow and rock gently in a circle.

Will shoot a pic next time I have chance.

Jumping to the current end of this thread, I wonder if the Sekred OEM intake box mod technique could be used to connect a second low intake from box to a fog light vent for a little work but next to no cost?

End up with an intake that will not heat soak, and second intake hose at bottom further away from filter than Mountune provides, reduce chance of water getting to filter

I would scope the idea but sfely stored my OEM lower box when I put the Mountune in, now cannot find it. Probably hide my own Easter eggs next.

I wonder what the difference will be in Charge intake temperatures between this and the injen. I kinda wanna buy it and take Cobb up on their 30 day satisfaction warranty.

Guarantee it will be worth the money. Especially if you are most worried about charge temps. If you just want sound Injein is probably the way to go.

My charge temps with the Cobb intercooler and piping already get me 5-10 degrees F within ambient. Would this system yield me temps. Closer than that?

While it won't necessarily get lower, it will stay low longer/more consistently and will help the IC disperse heat faster/more easily by pulling in cooler and denser air from the start.
