Getting my timing belt and coolant reservoir/hoses replaced on my 2014 with 83k mi. Shop is also suggesting radiator hoses (an extra $500). Are the radiator hoses considered part of the coolant hosing to replace after 5 years? Worth doing?

$500 for two hoses? Those hoses are $130 from the dealer, where is the other $350 going? They'll already have the cooling system open and drained too.

In my opinion, unless they're giving you reason to doubt them, keep for the life of the vehicle. The only hose I had to replace on a prior vehicle with well over 300k was the fuel filler neck. While 21 versus 13 PSI and hotter running engine is a significant difference, the durability of the formed hoses will have significantly improved to offset... just like the tires and belts.

What has to be removed from the front of the engine area in order to change out the serpentine accessory belt, if anything? [dunno]

Can this be accomplished without removing anything at all, but just having your arms/hands look like they went 100 rounds with a vicious, rabid wolverine??
