Do you have the order receipt form for the order? If you do, get the order number and dealer number from that and message Ford customer service on one of the forums or social media. They will be able to tell you the status of the order- whether it is scheduled to be built, has a VIN, has been built, etc.
If you don't have the order receipt, unfortunately you will just have to listen to what the dealer tells you, unless you ask them for the information mentioned above.
Sadly, I think they are definitely withholding information from you. It may be wise to calmly call them and state that you don't necessarily care that it hasn't taken this long, you'd just like to have more information on the status. If you show them that you aren't angry and have knowledge of the process, they may be more inclined to give you information. They may be hesitant to tell you that they knew it would take this long because of dealer allocation issues or something else.
