Hey guys, apologies for the delay. I'm out on vacation still but was able to get ahold of our SoCal calibrator and grab a log from the TST tune. The data looks phenomenal as I would expect from the results. There's a lot of misinformation in the thread here, so take the data for what it is. We don't fudge any numbers or skew our dyno settings to make numbers up. The dyno is a tuning tool used to compare calibration changes in a safe environment. Dyno power figures are ONLY comparable on the same dyno, do not try to take these numbers and compare them to any other Mustang or Dynojet as it's not an apples to apples comparison. Jon is a fantastic calibrator that I personally trained here in Austin on the Ford platform in a Fiesta ST of all cars. I have no doubt the car picked up as much power as the dyno said compared to the stock baselines, the data backs that up. Please let us know if you guys have any other questions or concerns, we've got a lot planned for 2015 and can't wait to share it!

I've seen 28.7lbs per min on my car. Does this mean I'm making appox 280hp ? Lol.

Other wise, debate on, sorry for interrupting, lol
280 crank hp with 16% loss is 235whp....

also i clearly know you have your own turbo on your car lol.

So what does that log tell you?
It just tells you that the car is running well ;-). No since in trying to plug a dyno run datalog into v-dyno since if you do, the numbers will be way off of what a street pull will give you.

Right im just trying to see what the logs solved or what data the told him. I know what it says to me and i am just the one trying to defend Cobb and say that gains are what is to be shown and a dyno is a tool. Any way its past my bed time.

Idk what it says. I can't see it on my iPhone ? I'd love to see some qtr mile times too! No worries. I just ordered some vp101 and will be booking dyno time at Cobb soon. Like I said, I want the 240 special.

That log made me a believer in VP101.

Other than that, I'd like to thank cobb for posting the datalog.
For someone like me that doesn't claim to be a pro tuner, and doesn't plan to ever sell my self or a tune to someone else, that kind of stuff is very good information.

Cobb is not the one we'd have to talk to about 1/4mile time slips, that would be TST. And since it wouldn't be free, Matt is not going to spend the money on a 3rd party dyno ( Which I could understand that ). And I wouldn't hold your breath on a trap strip time slip from TST either. I'd imagine they could borrow some really nice stuff from motortrend to get acceleration numbers, but then of course, the mph wouldn't be comparable anyway.

So in the end, I'm just happy to have learned a few things about there tune, and that VP101 and/or oxygenated fuels may actually be worth $14 a gallon for 1 or 2 trips to the drag strip or dyno.

As far as anything else, I'm under and over it, I've moved on and i think we all should do the same and "agree to disagree" if that's a option.

I wi be looking forward to RX7's pro-tune on VP101, and well as the 3rd party dyno that is sure to follow, then we can restart this debate if its warrantied.

It shows that if you bought the cobb intercooler, at those boost levels, its extremely efficient at what it does.

It also shows a few spots were cobb could have added a little.

I'll agree to agree! It's the same thing that I knew was possible. I tried to explain and back Cobb up. Someone bad mouthing and calling names because they can't understand is uncalled for. But I'm glad that there logged helped other people! I'm glad they took a minute to post that big ups to them as always.

The craziest thing just happened. I went to get in my car and I realized I'm in Illinois, not SoCal and my car is a TB not a PB. The craziest thing of all... I'm not Matt Farah. Then I thought to myself, "what does Matts car have to do with mine?"

Nothing.

Enjoy your own shit. Nobody is taking anything out of your pocket and there are more things to worry about than Cobbs admittedly probably miscalculated Dyno. Why? Because just about everyone here at stage 3 makes between 195-205. :stepsdownfromsoapbox:
